The biggest problem with injury reports is that you have to look at the players historically. You can’t rely on the players, coaches or even practice participation. We don’t know how much pain he really is in. We don’t know the grade of the sprain. Herbert has played through broken rib cartilage and there is nothing more painful. Herbert came back in against the Panthers and moved well.

Even if Herbert starts a high ankle sprain is the kind of injury that can easily be aggravated during the game. We’ve got the Chiefs next. That’s a far more important game where Justin needs to be 100%!

Guys. It is NOT your defense you have to worry about. You have the 30th ranked offense, 3.6 YPC only ONE run of 20 yards (exactly) have only scored ONE TD against mid defenses and should have won those games by double digits with that defense. If the Chargers score 20, you lose. Hell, even 16. The Charger D may not be the Steelers D, but it is waaaay better than what you have faced already and you just lost one of your tackles to a knee injury. Opponents have run TWO plays in the Chargers red zone. The Chargers have Herbert, the Steelers have scrubs. They will be lucky to score 9. Chargers 16-9

My big “problem” with your prediction for me is this. The Steelers have scored one TD against lesser defenses. The Chargers have allowed TWO plays in both games in their Red Zone. The Steelers were OUTGAINED by the Broncos. The Steelers Offense is just not good and they have been fortunate to win on defense. I don’t see the Steelers scoring two TDs. I turn one of those TDs into a field goal and make that 13. The end zone is going to be a lonely place. I think the Chargers get a TD and three FGs. I’ve been saying 16-9, but 16-13 is reasonable. Any fan on either team expecting a double digit win is delusional.

Yeah one of those teams were the panthers and our offense is new the tds would be higher if it wouldn’t have been for penalties. Steelers haven’t really opened up the offense yet because they haven’t had to they had the lead and have been shutting down offenses both games. This is gonna be a low scoring ground and pound game.

No turnovers is obviously good, getting outgained by a struggling offense (the Broncos) is not. Like I said, I think this is an overlooked factor. I get it, the focus is on the Steelers generational dominance on defense against the media hyped running game. But, I really think this game boils down to whether or not the Steelers can move the ball on the Chargers’ D. I don’t think they can and they will face a lot of 3 and outs, more than the Chargers. Defense needs a breather throughout the game and they wont’ get as many as the Chargers D. That is a lot of pressure for ANY defense. They can get away with 3.6 YPC against the Broncos and Falcons, I don’t think they can against better teams.

Good news, looks like Roman Wilson will get a hat - he's a rookie though who missed nearly all of camp, and hasnt practiced a whole lot, so i dont expect much from him yet. 20-16 Chargers. I anticipate some dudes getting banged up in this one, hopefully the injuries are minor.

You guys want to win Fields is going to have to step up and the writing is on the wall already. He’s putting up “good numbers” because you guys have a BB gun offense. All the Chargers have to do is have any form of lead, keep Fields in the pocket and he will eventually try to press a throw in down the field and throw it to the wrong team as usual. Joey Bosa and Mack and strip sack artists and Fields is notoriously good at fumbling the ball. Your only hope is Herbert doesn’t play or the chargers turn over the ball Atleast 2 times in their own territory. You guys played okay defensed but don’t forget the Chargers defense is too 3 in the league right now.

Chargers given up 13 points to bad offenses Steelers 16 to bad offenses. However the Chargers offense is so much better than the Steelers joke of an offense. 2 games and you barely get out of there with a win against two bad teams. Chargers dominated both teams we faced and won but 2 possessions or more.. Chargers team is a complete roster and the Steelers are not. Their little win streak isn’t going to last.

Herbert 18-0 when the defense gives up 20 points or less. If the Steelers are going to have a chance they have to wake up on offense or the Chargers have to turn the ball over in their own territory. Steelers haven’t played against a defense like this yet and I expect to Fields struggle. The Chargers ran the ball all over the elite Raiders defense and the Christain Wilkins and Crosby combo compared to the Steelers defense line is apples to apples. You’ve never seen this physical of a chargers team respectfully the Chargers should be the obvious favorite but I think Herbert’s injury throws a curveball into the mix. If Herbert stays clean and the Chargers offense doesn’t turn over the ball it’s going to result in a win for them. I got the chargers 20-6 shutting down this Steelers offense and still running the ball like they have done regardless of the line in front of them.

He entered I to the draft a year early. Last year, his rookie year was a learning year. He’s coming into his own. Chargers offensive line and QB are in a different universe compared to what you guys have. Steelers oline is not good and Najee under 4 ypc and Justin fields is your QB… you are a George Pickens injury away from being the worst WR core in the NFL. The next week they were a pass interference penalty from beating KC on their field. There are multiple examples of the same, just the first two week alone. People lose a lot of money with your way of evaluation…
