With the 14/50 adapter that you can purchase separately (mine actually came with the 110 adapter and the 14/50 adapter in the same package) the charger that comes with the car can charge 30 mph and yes you absolutely can live with just that. If you just use the 11- plug then that charges 4-5 miles per hour, But you say that you shouldn’t get the Tesla mobile connector isn’t really accurate, the 14/50 adapter is only extra $30 I believe if you need to buy one and well worth it.

Just use 110 , don’t waste money on charging station, charges overnight no problem

I only use a charging station if I'm traveling, but 110 won't do it if you drive a lot.

@@whateverfits1978 I drive 200 miles a day and have no problem charging to 80% overnight on a 110

@@joemeyer2726 it may depend on what you call overnight. If you get home early afternoon and leave it plugged in all night, that might work for some. As you can see from the video, for me to go from 52 to 80% takes about 16.5 hours on 110. For me, 110 just doesn't give enough flexibility.

110 is a joke. Don’t believe you can go 200 miles a day and charge w 110. Getting wall connector installed soon.

Does that adapter piece come when you buy a new Tesla or is that something you have to buy separately on newer orders? I’m waiting for the VIN on mine. Order was placed first week of august. Looking to factor in the L2 charging station in our garage and want to make sure I take all other additional costs in consideration.

the adapter came with mine, but mine also came with the charging cable. The adapter was in the charging cable bag so I am not sure if you get the adapter now or not. If I had to guess the answer would be "no", but maybe someone with a newer order could chime in...
