“Charging The Void” - Vektor Live drum cam

Live drum cam from Regensburg, Germany October 29th, 2022. This is “Charging The Void” which is the song I auditioned for vektor with. I thought it would be interesting to upload and see the changes from my first audition video. We had about 20 consecutive shows under our belt by this point, so I was feeling pretty good about it.

Blake Anderson is drumming on the new album from Hammers of Misfortune. Not my music, but the drumming is great as ever! And I agree, I guess Vektor couldn't have found a better guy for the drums.

great to have caught you live finally! And even with a broken tube amp, small crowd and a little bit missing enthusiasm on the audience side... I still really enjoyed every second of it. bands who play live almost note for note like the record always impress me and everyone in this band delivers.

This is amazing. I'm trying to learn this song right now and it's a pain in the ass with all the little details and fills. Which song would you say is the hardest to nail consistently?

Great playing! It's really interesting how your blasts have sort of a flammy feel rather than being totally straight, and it's consistent which is key! Is that something you do intentionally? Think it was George Kollias who talked about pushing his blasts a bit ahead of the beat to make them more aggressive or something

The left hand and feet are supposed to alternating as on the record, not together. It’s not as evenly spaced of a 16th note as I’d like, but that’s just the nature of it being the first song and live I guess.

@@mikeohlsondrummer1739 I imagine they will. But hint me on this though. Is the new album gonna be a big concept album like Terminal Redux? i could see the story fron Hunger For Violence being a good spot to turn into a full on concept album
