Anyone else catch how they changed the snare tone multiple times within a song? That was really cool

I've been a huge fan ever since I heard Moving Backwards a bit before Resident Human released. I got a chance to see them live last month on their first headlining tour and it was so great. Having the whole room banging in unison to the heavy riffs was so fun. Disciple is by far my favorite song on the album. The riffs and rythyms are such bangers. I think Sabateour and Empire are tied for 2nd place. To the comments saying they're too much like Tool: if Tool made music more often than every 15ish years I'd agree but the niche is wide open for other bands to fill the space with new takes on those aspects that Tool has done. I don't want to listen to the same Tool album every few days for 15 years, but I do want more Tool sound.

@@KyleMc16 - I’m so glad they added heavy breakdowns this album. And hearing Charismatic Leaders in its entirety was a real treat!

I liked it when I heard it on Spotify but man did it click with me when I had the chance to see them live! It sounded massive!!

MASSIVE production difference on this one. And when you look up the credits it makes since why this one is fantastic.

What you say about making tension and never releasing it is exactly what I found frustrating about almost every Tool-like band. Tool are masters of writing crescendos and big payoff riffs once they're done with odd time noodling, while the bands that try to be like them never do that and just lesve you hanging on that tension. Wheel, Lucid Planet, Kolm, Samadhi, sometimes even Rishloo

Lateralus and 10,000 Days were great albums. Besides the drumming Fear Inoculum was very underwhelming. And that breaks my heart to say that 😒

It’s good but it sounds very similar to Tool. So for me I need more variation to make them sound different to me.

Since when is Tool djent?

I love Tool but never have they had the heaviness this album has. Besides the drumming and A. Jones’ performance on 7empest Fear Inoculum was underwhelming
