The empty Fortnum & Mason wooden tea caddy for 50p was your best buy because one full of tea costs £37.50 at Fortnum & Mason. I remember having breakfast there once, I was on my own and I was seated looking at the door so I could see the celebrities coming in - I felt like a princess sitting there because I was made to feel special.

I thought you might have grabbed those autumn leaf candles for your living room autumn theme :) the best bargain I saw somebody get from a charity shop was a friend of mine from years ago who bought a suit for £10 , when he got it home he found £40 in one of the inside pockets lol. Oh I just started to watch this and i already love this challenge, how fun! My best charity shop find is a red coat, that is a size to small but i still wear it every year around Christmas:)) I just don' button it up! It was £3 and I have it for 5 years now:), still love it:)

Whew!! Mr Carrington I can't believe you didn't scoop up that Burberry blazer!! I think that would have been your best bargain *and* your designer item. Those go for hundreds brand new. Great upload as always ❤

Really enjoy roaming charity shops. The English ones are so good, I bring heaps of textiles and china back to Australia for my cafe and events area.And could not imagine visit London without visiting the glamorous Fortnum & Mason or Liberty ect.. Love them all. I think the lap top was the best really.

Best bargain...Chanel silk scarf, Louis Vuitton speedy bag all found at a big name thrift shop for under $10 each! Which is amazing since I often find George brand items in the same store, overpriced to $15.

I found two Willow tree figurines in a charity shop a few months ago with no price tags on. I collect them so knew that these particular two were around £30 each. I took them to the cashier and asked how much they were and he said “give me 50p for both” I was so happy with my purchase that I put a few pound in the collection tin 😁By the way, I loved your vlog so I’ve subscribed ❤️

My best bargain was a brand new fancy smancy men's straw hat for 3 dollars. The price label was hidden inside, $350!!! It was too big for me so I gave it to my hairdresser, really suits him. I've only recently discovered you Mr Carrington, so I'm going through old vlogs and videos and enjoying them immensely! Thank you.

I used to thrift a lot. But not so much any more. But the last time I did it was to buy dvds for my collection. I love Fotnums. Love that tea box. We had lunch there, and did some fabulous shopping, I especially loved the candy department :) and their cute little gold shopping carts . I'm sure I spent too much there, but it was so worth it ! tfs

Great video - I bought a woman’s Moschino coat which looked unworn, from a Charity shop in North Wales. It cost £18.00 and I sold it for £120 online. Wish I had kept it though because it was a great piece !

Loved this, really miss charity shops - quite a few of the ones near me are still shut due to being so small and not able to socially distance, but there are a few starting to open - can't wait to go back and hopefully pick up some bargains! My favourite things to buy are winter coats - find you can get such good quality wool coats in such lovely colours and styles!

That's is a nice little haul you have gave there, I love the hat. Your charity shops are definitely more up market than our Irish ones. Mind you the prices they charge are cheeky, it comes to something when you wait for a sale in a charity shop before you you will buy something. Your UK prices look as if they are a bit high in some cases too

I really don't understand tge pricing in these shops. I saw a glass for 99p the same one brand new in asda is 50p. These shops are full to the brim with stuff thats been donated through the licjdown yet they price things so high, surely if they were cheaper they would sell more. Then thet would make more for charity

Totally agree. I have seen primark stuff double the price. I questioned this once in cancer research and was told they have a pricing structure for designer items. Unfortunately bon marche was classed as designer. I bet they have loads of built up stock that they don't sell because they are pricing it too high. They are becoming very greedy.

I said this on Freyas video but they fact that they can charge £6 for Poundland tat and yet real crystal for example can be 50p. Prices are all over the place. A lot of charity shops use the line "we want to make as much as money as possible for the charity' but forget that half their charity is providing affordable goods for the community, who may not be able to shop online or afford much.

Wow you have some pretty nice & neat charity shops in your area Mr. C! Most charity shops (or thrift stores as we call them) here in the U.S. aren't quite as nice & for some reason don't seem to smell so great either. Lol 😄 You spotted some really good finds though. I know I went to Fortnum and Mason when I went to London far too long ago. I remember everything being over my budget and not buying anything but it was such a legendary experience as I had read about it in books since a young girl. So old on the outside yet so lux on the inside. Ah travel..........as always you got some great things!

Good finds. You wondered about the DKNY-if it is designer. Donna Karen is a designer. I think she sold her brand and you don’t see much of her represented anywhere anymore. That Burberry blazer was beautiful. The laptop sleeve certainly looked like leather-good find!

Yes the prices do seem quite high. I guess they are trying to make up for lost months during closure and lower charitable donations in general. It's a difficult decision for the shops to make, I suppose.

My best charity shop buy was a full set of Yamaha Drums, including cymbals and stool for £20 bought 5 years ago.

Good finds! We use those glass 'jugs' for oil or vinegar here. Some high quality oils and vinegars can be found in stores in them too. I think the best bargain I've ever found are some brand new Tommy Hilfiger jeans for 17 €!!! Take care xx

Love the challenge, I bet 9 out of 10 times u find a Starbucks mug!! What a lot of lovely things you pointed out when in the charity shops, I could have bought several of them. The dnky bag/purse was great and would have probably cost £12 in tkmax as u mentioned. The candle was a great find but still very expensive for me. Great vid, keep them coming 😀

My best thrift store find was a real cashmere sweater I bought for 99 cents American! Even though it fits a bit tighter as of recently, I still plan on wearing it this fall and winter if only around the house.

Love the wooden Fortnum and Mason's box, I'd store my herbal teas in. Candle is a barging and you'll love it, it's one of my favourite smells. Personally the DNKY bag! I'd say makeup bag. Really liking your orange and oak leaf cushions,I'd definitely have them in my home as orange is my happy colour and I've always worn browns,blues and orange clothing. Don't rush to go aboard please with all this Corona 19 flaring up again, would hate for you to catch it as live your vidoes. Xxx

Hello , hope you are keeping ok . I enjoyed your Vlog . I think I will give you a 6 out of 10. Freya had a lot more better quality shops to look in , in her Vlog I saw. You should come to Ruslip on the Metropolitan Train line . I live near Ruslip ( at Heathrow) . Ruslip have 8 charity shops here. I work in Waitrose Supermarket in Ruslip part time. I wish I would've known about this shop in Peckham when I was there a few years ago. I lived in Europe a few years ago so it was a quick trip to the UK and I took my son to the west end to see the musical Wicked for his birthday weekend.. We traveled all over and got lost in elephant & castle trying to ride the tube. Fun times. Fun vlog and great finds. I have a blue glass vase like that that bought from goodwill for $1.
