That's to funny...I bought the same whistling pie bird while in Chippenham last fall. So many dish items u would have bought. I wonder how hard it is to ship??? What I really wanted was the two yellow teacup sets & the drinking pitcher with four matching glasses. Yes! So glad you got the frog!!!😂 he's cute.

I have a Charity Shop near me. Its completely independent as it supports a local Church. The donations aren't great as people use it to dump stuff now that the Clothes Bank was taken away BUT what it does have, they decide at the till how much you pay. So I wheeled out with 12 picture frames for £6. I'll take out the pictures and take them back and use the frames for my pictures and photos. A lot of the time I'll leave having spent £2 on a set of China Mugs. That kind of thing. But if I go up town? Well imagine York prices. We have a Minster and the Church where the White Rabbit (Alice in Wonderland) sits. The Author would attend services and saw the Rabbit and it was added to the Story. This means we get Coaches of Tourists and the prices in shops are hiked up including Charity Shops. I saw a jovely tin but it was £15 which is more than it cost when the shop sold it for! I was in the Antique Centre and a couple came back. They had seen some Hornsea there but went back to the Charity Shop where the same set was in the window. They had come back to the Centre because the Charity Shop wanted £25 and it was only £17 in the Antique Centre! It's cheaper to go into the City Centre and buy from there. I saw a lovely Dining Service in the Charity Shop window but they priced it up at £80. It's been there six weeks now. But they'd rather have a clear out and send to another Charity than reduce their prices. Its mad 😠 I used to be able to rummage for buttons and wool but even those are priced high. Looks like you got a good haul 👍
