I feel like Radiant Zard might still be the play, Briar is great but I feel like Rad is the best to offset the prize trade of Ogerpon. Plus KOing a single prizer doesn’t affect the goal of the deck, because you can play Briar and then dusknoir them to 1 card

I've been playing with Briar I honestly don't use Radiant Zard at all I just don't see the appeal sure the damage is good, but it's pretty easy to knock out and Charizard EX feels so much built around late game-winning that like- by the time you can use Radiant you mine as well just use EX? I'm new to the TCG so I don't know just for me focusing on trading prize cards with Dusknoir and Dusklops until I can use Briar has worked out best, get down to 4 cards, Briar, Dusknoir to pick off an easy benched Pokemon, knock out EX with Charizard, but again I'm new so I don't know, but I just never found Radiant useful in this deck because of how late it feels like it comes into play and by then it's like you can't afford to mess up at all and your reads need to be SPOT on. Versus leaning on Briar feels a lot more natural and less daunting as long as you have Charizard ready with your Pigeot and Dusknoir in the wings it feels just like such a no brainer strat to me.

I’ve been practicing this deck with proxies and I think Radiant Charizard is still valuable. I switched out 1 Arven for it.

I’m excited for Stellar Crown and got a prerelease build and battle. I’m trying to get Briar SIR and the Grand Tree. My friend literally pulled both hits in one pack in his prerelease box. 😭😭

The tree counts as evolving that card for the turn so you can’t use the tree then evolve from hand it’s on the Japanese FAQ
