Charla Aldous Closing Sets Up $71.95M Verdict in Wrongful Death Trial Over Scissor Lift Collapse

Aldous \ Walker's Charla Aldous tells jurors that Walker Engineering is responsible for the death of a Texas electrician after the scissor lift on which he was working collapsed when a boom lift backed into it. Jurors awarded $71.95 million in the case, finding Walker Engineering 65 percent liable for the incident and Walker Industrial 35 percent liable, which, under Texas law, makes Walker Engineering responsible for the full award.
