I been done with Charlemagne. Joe I wrote off after DV allegations from his ex after another former part also expressed DV years prior. The Kendrick Drake saga got me back watching Joe bc his takes and predictions are accurate. But I’ve felt sick half the time bc stomaching the mostly unintelligible cohost are difficult enough but how little respect they have for themselves with how they tolerate Joe treating them is another level. TLDR glad I’m not the only ashamed one and maybe this was my reminder to stop supporting with my views and time.

Don't really know much about Charlamagne beyond some mentions from F.D. Signifier, but like the few clips I did see something felt off about him. But just in a at a glance 'Hm, I don't think I like this person" kind of way and I didn't really know enough to take anything further away from it at the time. As far as I can discern this doesn't come from any conscious or semi-conscious biases, either, just a feeling of "I don't like this dude". So like I'm not saying "OOOO I KNEW FOR SURE HE WAS BAD" but it's still interesting to me that I picked up on something there, ever so slightly.

Great Video!! I definitely disagree that creative freedom is financial freedom! We likely have different views of the US system in general and that's okay! I think financial freedom is only strengthens the ability to move within the system and the more capital one gains the more they value a system that runs on capital. I've been reading Franz Fanon and he talks about the emergence of new nationalist states because their reliance on colonialist Manichaeism and inability to imagine outside the bounds of colonization. Not all art needs to be revolutionary but revolutionary art will come from the villages not the town. Honestly, as far as journalism goes I personally have a growing distrust of higher budget production given the landscape of current news media.
@BlahNetworkBro5 ай бұрын
I guess for me the question is if capital is my motivation and influence on what I say now what will change that when I acrew more capital? What would satisfy the desire to see the line go up when I know it's as simple as making what sells rather than what inspires me. For me personally my journey to detach from the perceived value of capital has to come before the search for that capital, as I may find something more worth chasing.
