The fact that Charles Barkley gives this take on Draymond -- a man he knows well and has worked alongside and will likely work alongside again -- without holding back but without malice, is what makes him still the greatest sports commentator today.

Exactly. This is the same guy that gets mad at players for leaving organizations when things don’t go their way but he demanded his way out of Philly and Phoenix. Both times to go to betters situations with more talent…. Funny how that works.
@jmason0622

No, he's right, during the discussion, he somehow explained it. Ideally, you don't want to get tossed out of any game, if you a top player. You ain't helping the team. That's a given. But if the player feel that the referees are intent on being bad and making shit calls, that's where temper takes over, and then once that goes over a limit, that's when players TRY to get tossed out of the game. There's angry and there's pissed off.

I'm a life-long Dubs fan, maybe Klay & Draymond but Looney is still a great defender & a rebounding dog, he's come up big when it's needed. Wiggins is still a great 2-way player plus he's only 28, way to much quality ball left in him to give up on him. They screwed up bringing in Chris Paul, they needed someone bigger & more offensive minded. The thing I'd like to see is Chris Paul, Klay & Draymond on the 2nd team for awhile. The Dubs bench has been a big bonus this year(they scored 80 points last night) so if they could try elevating a few 2nd team guys to starters & put the others I mentioned coming off the bench it might give em a spark with some younger guys starting. They just seem lifeless this year for some reason, maybe some younger guys getting more playing time would help
@Noeau
@Noeau 7 ай бұрын
@@nolongerblocked6210 ok Looney may have value if they cannot find a better replacement. Yes maybe bench the starters except for Steph for now and see what the bench can do what they just did against the Suns. They have nothing to lose and continuing with what is not working is ludicrous. Try the bench to see the direction for next year.

@@Noeau giving Kuminga & Moody minutes is a good idea bcuz it feels like every time they're given a chance they play well, plus like you said they need to know longterm if they're answers or need replaced. I'd also like to see Jackson-Davis(the rookie from IU) get some time at the 4. He was a pretty good passer at Indiana so maybe he could do some of the things Draymond did for the team passing/screening wise. They'll never know what they have in those youngsters if they don't give em more minutes

I have a lot of respect for Steve Kerr, but I'm very disappointed in how he expressed himself on this situation after Green did that crap in the game again. Kerr simply said how they "need" Draymond and that kind of mild stuff instead of making clear that he knows well this was intentional and egregious by Draymond. Draymond in his press gathering said it was unintentional and that he was trying to "sell" a foul on Nurkic. Both those statements are BS and further dig a hole around Green. He can't even man up and speak honestly about what he did--spin 360 with his arms up at head-height on Nurkic. I can't stomach hearing this BS from Green anymore. He's a good player with a very bad attitude who is hurting his team and the NBA's image by such conduct. I wouldn't mind seeing him suspended for at least half the season. The NBA made the suspension "indefinite" and with some conditions attached before Draymond can return. That's minimum. I would require him to tell the truth about his intentions with that flagrant strike against Nurkic, too. Otherwise, he stays suspended.
