They're trying to rewrite reality, confuse, scare and anger people, and be able to claim whatever they want. I've heard on multiple shows now that the '88 Olympics loss lead to the Dream Team in '92. When before pros simply weren't allowed in the Olympics. The most Olympics and World Cups(pros allowed) in the 70's and 80's went to the Soviet Union and Yugoslavia and no Dream Team ever. The simple fact that the Olympics started allowing pros in '92 led to the Dream Team, otherwise they would have gone to the '90 World Cup after losing in '88 or one of the others from '70 to '90 when they kept losing to the Soviets and Yugoslavians.

This is Chuck. He makes the big pronouncements - claims too much, and then it either turns out not to be true or he backtracks. Everybody seems to like him "because he' s so honest" and he is hardly ever called on it. I like Charles as a personality, loved him as a player. If I were going to pick one basketball media personality to spend the day with, it would be Charles. But frankly, the fact that he is so immensely popular says more about the appetite of sports fans than anything else. He is not going to give you a cogent breakdown of a team or player and he constantly makes these wild predictions or SIMPLISITC analysis(which insults the word 'analysis') that are often proven in accurate. But people seemed to love the simplistic, bombastic, no substance basketball talk. The one thing you hear about Charles Barkley more than anything else is: "Well, he's Charles so he can get away with it."

What Dan said is exactly right. I tune in to tnt/inside the nba to watch the fellas. I usually fast forward to halftime/the game breaks and the post game. Once inside is gone, I won’t just watch the games for the games sake. I believe there are a lot of people out there that feel this way. Sucks all around. Greed over quality. He criticized the NBA and owners for choosing money over the fans, then said under no circumstances would he take a pay cut even though TNT does not have the deal. He talked about retiring in the season but now through his own admission he was in year 3 of a 10 year deal. He said TNT messed everything up so he’s not taking a cut but TNT matched the deal, so how does that even make sense? I can go on and on, but it’s entertaining.

The NBA has been f'n up for 20 years now. The top highest rated finals are all from the 90's and 80's, 2 from the 70's and barely on place 20 is the 2001 Kobe/Shaq finals. Since then they never reached those ratings again. Best ones were the Jordan/Bulls finals of course. Like all big companies it's not about entertaining the consumer but about DEI ratings to satisfy the investors who want to control the world. One can easily tell by LeBron's made up racism allegations and China comments. And Inside the NBA/Barkley are anything else then DEI friendly.

I love Inside the NBA. Hate that it's disappearing. I'd rather ESPN disappear. However, Adam Silver has telegraphed this for years. Discovery is to blame for having lackluster streaming and social media platforms.
