She did everything she could to rescue their marriage but failed. She was still very young so obviously, she wanted to be loved. So that's why she was dating a few guys after Charles? And it was after their divorce so she wasn't cheating on him. This marriage could work but Charles didn't even try to love Diana. THANK YOU ALL for telling me she was cheating as well and even when they HAD BEEN MARRIED. Exactly, Charles and Camilla aren't the root of the problem, the monarchy who wouldn't let Charles marry who he wanted, and who let Diana take the fall is the main problem. Charles was brought up thinking that duty comes first... the throne, being a king, behaving the way everybody around you wants you to. The royal family knew he was in love with Camilla, but she wasn't considered a suitable bride (not virgin etc.). He could have stepped away, give up being an heir to the throne and marry her but I think the memory of his grandfather's brother abdicating and marrying Wallis Simpson and being hushed away from the family, ostracized, never ever let back in to the family was too much for Charles. So he went with Diana as a wife and Camilla as a mistress, which was very "normal" for monarchs for most of the history. He is just a product of his family. This, of course, does not excuse him, his actions are immoral and hurt several people immensely. But still I think that viewing Charles as a 100 % bad person is not ok either.
@nastassjafilipovna16494 жыл бұрын
I agree completely!!! People say Diana had fear of abandonment because her mother left her at a very young age, yet they mock Charles for that very same thing and the same fear. Beliefs that THE CROWN is the most important thing is something that this show is constantly showing us: Charles had to obey the rules. We, "normal people", can easily say how we'd do the right thing, but is it really like that when it's actually time to do so? There's a saying how, if our mom doesn't like the person we like... well, you know. And many people actually behave like that, how is it strange that Charles is doing the same thing? Bullying Diana was awful and wrong on every level one could imagine, but, when you're forced to be with someone you have no feelings for, all your frustrations and anger and sadness may, unfortunately, come out on them. Some people forget that humans are way more complex than good or bad. It's ironical how The Crown is trying to send that message across yet no one seems to notice.

Could people just stop hating on their looks? Of the real ones I mean. It's not their fault how they were born and it's just mean and unnecessary to focus on stuff like that. If you want to compliment the actors looks just do so- without hating on someone else. There is enough hate in the world

Maybe let people react the way they want to. Are the comments hurting you physically?
@alenciaga214 жыл бұрын
@@OoOMonkeyCoFreakOoO There is not only physical pain you know? I can't stand it if people are hating on someones looks. Obviously everyone is entitled to their opinion and is allowed to share but maybe I can reach at least one or two people. Two people less in the world bullying someone for their looks in real life or cyberlife is already a win. And also, can't I share MY opinion or am I hurting you?

People misunderstood the situation. What is true love? A fling that happens when you're 19, or the love that persist over 40 years despite everybody going against it? Blame the Queen, she's the villain. Forcing your son into a position where he has to do everything to prepare for the throne and then force him to sacrifice the love of his life, otherwise he would loose the throne. It's the equivalent of dictatorship. Why would anybody like Elizabeth. You can laugh at them but Charles and Camilla are probably the happiest couple within the Royal Family.
@matariki98184 жыл бұрын
How is it dictatorship ? It's a choice. His uncle gave up on the throne for love. His son gave up on the royal family for love. Charles was simply not brave enough to do so and blamed the Queen and the Royal Family for it, when he could have just done the same. Plus, I think that Camilla actually loved Andrew Parker Bowles when they married, so blaming the whole situation on the royal family is a bit too easy.
@markarmage37764 жыл бұрын
@@matariki9818 Well, his uncle became king before giving up the throne. And his son, Harry has absolutely no chance of getting the throne. Drastically different situation there.

Por Prince of Wales. Both his grandfather and his Mother had, at least, the chance to choose their spouses. He will be forever judged by his story Witherspoon Camilla and Diana. IF he would have had the chance, He would have been a good, dedicated husband to the one he truly loved all his life and would never have been accused of cheating and treating people badly, and being a jerk, and all the horrible things people accuse him of.

Nah. I've sympathized to Charles and Camilla even before the series. Cannot blame them for falling in love. Especially, I think it is fascinating that he loved truly only one women in his life. Feel sorry for all of them in that situation. BTW, Diana could've cancel the wedding too, you know? No one cancelled the wedding while everyone knew Charles loved the other woman. In fact, it's not Charles's fault Diana died in a crush, come on. You people just want to hate someone, but this situation is really common. "The love triangle". It happens with a lot of people. Charles, Camilla and Diana aren't the first ones here.
@thegreypath17772 жыл бұрын
Anastasia Morgan: Are you aware that Charles wasn’t just having sex with Camilla? Charles had more than one mistress. For example, Lady Dale Tryon, who died approximately at the same time as Diana, in an “accident”. Look it up!
@linzainib7441 Жыл бұрын
Finally someone who doesn't see Charles and cammila as monsters and even the royal family. Or blaming them for the car crash, it seemed sad I almost sympathisesd for camilla when Charles was told she wasn't a suitable bride not fit to be princess, now everyone deserves to feel like a process and embrace it iwknfer if the real Charles ever made camilla feel loved and as a princess before he made his queen consort. I know many are saying Diana should have been queen, but remember knly if she and Charles remained married, but I'm pretty sure she would have been happy with Charles and camilla. People on tiktok mention how karma can't be rwl because there is nothing happening, well karma is real but only of Charles and camilla did do something terrible other than just commiting adultery. I believe half of the story fussing over camilla and charles is just paparazzi or random people who just want someone to hate.

Belle Morris: It’s not about “love”. It was simply Charles being a selfish beast, and being insanely jealous of Diana’s popularity with The People. Charles has had more than one mistress, while he was married to Diana. Don’t forget about Lady Dale Tryon, who Camilla was insanely jealous of also. Lady Dale Tryon died mysteriously at approximately the same time as Diana. Look it up!

People need to understand the prince is not the asshole they want to believe he is. He is a puppet to the establishment, like many others. Probably an hypersensitive boy like his grandfather George VI who feared deeply disapprobation from the Queen, who herself was constantly reminded by her mother that she had to serve her duty and not her own and others feelings. The establishment was full of assholes from an obsolete era who didn’t understand the times prince Charles grew up in.

I can't believe there's people out here trying to argue that "Charles only cheated on Diana because the one he loved was always Camilla", as if that's a valid excuse for what he did. If he truly loved that mistress of his so much, he should've never married Lady Di, and just gotten with Camilla from the very beginning! They both made Diana's life miserable for their own selfish gain. Neither him nor Camilla deserve any pity, they're both disgusting.
