I agree, i should clarify. I mean it's too late for me to ever see him in person. I bet seeing him live was just a powerful experience.

Rip sir. Ur the king of music pal!! U might not be here, but if ur looking down, know that ur the king of music in my eyes. Im 34 n i rock ur stuff at least 2 3 times a day every day. N i love the story of ur grandma. I know u had many more great stories too. What I wouldnt give to sit down with u n hear them all. Or have u sing me a song. No equiptment or special effects. It still would be so powerful!! R.i.p. If u r looking down, know that u made a difference n a 34 year olds life. No friends in this big old world. Listening to u speak of ur struggles n hard work u endured to achieve ur dream, gives me hope n inspiration. U kept me from suicide several times this last few months. I replay ur song n always listen to grandmas story, then try n imagine what other priceless wisdom n advice she would give to try n help me make sense of my life. Help me find a direction to lead me to the path n can't seem to find the courage to figure out on my own. I hope ur at peace with grandma. If u too get bored up there feel free to check in on me from time to time... Perhaps ill see u sooner then later n we can sit down for a chat- I promise not to ask for ur autograph. Thought I would end it with a little joke there...smile on n wear that crown friend..

Just found out about this man a few weeks ago. So sad that he died almost exactly a year after this was posted, but I'm glad he finally got some proper records made and recognition after so many years of struggle.

I gave up hope on modern music. Never another Otis reading. Never another James brown… in our lifetime. We have Charles Bradley. He is more than worthy to be in the same description. Sound of soul
