Hi Charles, Although this watercolour demonstration was completed by you many years ago, I still never tire of watching this Beach scene over again. Your techniques to paint the cliffs and rocks are “classic” and I often go back for reference. Best regards, Wayne 🎨😀👍

HI Charles, just found your u tube channel. I loved the tutorial I will be giving it ago. I've never done landscapes before I normally draw and paint flowers but you made it look so much fun. Found one of your books at the library today and already can't put it down. Look forward to more of your videos. kind regards Laura

Fantastic -- love your technique and especially the limited palette you use, and that your video includes you showing us how you mix up your paints. (Lots of other artists don't share the palette with the camera and it's frustrating for us beginners.) Just as soon as I can find the "subscribe" key, I'll be watching and soaking up your tips. Thanks for sharing your gift with a wanna-be artist.

Wonderful job! I'll look up your book "Charlie's Top Tips" too! I watched with wrapped amazement as to how you mixed your colors, and thought...I'm glad pastels have only one color in each stick, but have the capability to be blended by overlaying complements, neutrals, and what have you! I hope! Ha Ha! Wish me luck! The Bloke from the Colonies! Spokane, Washington....Waaaaay over here, a mere eight time zones away! By the way, I will be 64 next month, just like the Beatles said back in 1967!

Just received your little book, your paint range including CE Sand and set of the 4 Aquafine brushes. Great video Charles. I like your different ways if mixing Raw umber to get four earths out of it. I use W & N too but I notice your French ultra for the sky looks more like Cobalt in the video. If I use French ultra for the sky it has a violet or reddish tint to it. That,s why I nearly always use the colder Cobalt for the sky. Ill try the French ultra again and see how I get on.
@charlesevans77069 жыл бұрын
Jack Silver The colour you see on your screen will be modified by your settings. As you say, Ultramarine blue is a warmer clue than cobalt.

i'm pretty much positive, that i'm correct on that, statistics back my view on that :) anyway, i started painting as a getaway from my main job, that is programming, so i really enjoy the process. whole of it. and i noticed that i see the world totaly different now. now the trees are not green anymore, nor the grass is. lots of things changed. so, no regrets. quite the opposite, glad i've taken that road. all the best. going to watch other videos of yours, they are a real joy to watch.
