The other GPU-minable coins do not have a sophisticated blockchain like ERGO.

I would argue that Kadena (KDA) is a better one, but I like Ergo (ERG), nevertheless.

KDA is ok but is way more centralized than ERGO, KDA is like Cardano levels of centralized development main net upgrades while Ergo adheres to a more principled approach of Governance Decentralization through Mining hash power and Node operators.
