Charles III proclaimed king in historic ceremony

Trumpets and cries of “God save the King” were heard as Charles III was proclaimed monarch during an elaborate ceremony at St. James's Palace.
Charles became king immediately after the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, but a historic meeting formally confirmed his role on Saturday.
It is the first time that cameras have been inside this ceremony, the last of which took place over 70 years ago.

I’ve seen people’s comments about how we’d probably never see another british queen after queen elizabeth, but our generation would be one of the few to see both queen and king reining in our lifetime

This is the same palace Elizabeth I, 500 years earlier, prayed for deliverance, when the huge Spanish Armada attacked England. Strangely enough a huge storm wind blew up and most of the Spanish ships were sunk.
