Yeah... I read Helter Skelter, but it was how after being in the cell next to him for a time Timothy Leary described Manson as what happens when a person with high intelligence and "creativity" is raised and indoctrinated in the worst, hardest, most brutal sort of conditions society produces, or, on the mean streets and in jail that I also remember.

It is interesting, Clyde (of Bonnie and Clyde) became a violent person after prison as well
