But Jack, Peter wasn't actually there. He had not gone back in time - he was physically there still passed out on the floor in front of Noah. Charles then would have had to speak to Peter in his dream. But Charles is dead. I don't think there are any other characters who have acted, in any way, from beyond the grave? Death appears to be final in Heroes. Other commenters suggest Charles is a telepath with the ability to essentially travel through time in people's minds but not in the physical world. Perhaps that is it

@@harlanmatthews2968 I'm assuming it was a combination of all the powers Peter took. He has telepathy, time travel, and the ability to see the future. Maybe this allowed him to "read the minds" of people from the past. But since charles is also a telepath he was able to notice? Not a perfect theory but it's one explanations

I think Charles had brain powers and over the years he mastered it and now lives in and out of time because he's seen different futures/outcomes
