From Sinner to Saint Peter told Jesus Christ to depart from him because he was a sinful man. Jesus Christ knew that Peter was chosen of God and used him greatly. Paul went from persecuting the followers of Jesus Christ to being a persecuted follower of Christ Jesus. Paul's writings make up most of what is called the New Testament Scriptures. Peter and Paul went from being sinners to saints (by the grace of God and to His glory). There's hope for sinners because of Christ Jesus. Amen. All Sinners Please Read God's love is so large and His mercy is so magnificent, yes, His grace so gloriously great that even if you murdered 50 people in your entire lifetime, you can rest assured that Jesus died for every single one of those sins. Yes, even if you've been a prostitute, and you've slept with 10,000 different men and even some women, Jesus died for every single time that you did so. Yes, even if you've been a rapist and you raped people, Jesus Christ died for every single time you committed those wicked acts. Even if you've committed adultery and cheated on your spouse when you left home or he left the house, Jesus died for every time you did so. Listen, even if you've been a whore in the streets and you didn't wait until marriage to have sex, but you spread yourself thin and you spread your legs wide for whoever desired to enter in (to have you): You jumped into bed with Mark, Sally, and Sue, Jesus gave His Life for everyone of you and for every time you committed those whorish acts. If you've been involved with witchcraft, Voodoo, devil worship, or if you've served false religions and worshipped false gods and rejected Jesus and even cursed God (the only true and living God) to His holy Face, God still wants to save you by His glorious Grace. If you said bad words, thought wicked thoughts, cursed, murmured, complained (even against God), doubted God, engaged in pornography videos, watched porn, or committed theft, robbery, or even homosexual or bisexual acts, Jesus Christ died for all of that. If you sold drugs, loved money, gotten drunk/high, if you've been a thug, if you've used drugs, if you've committed violent acts, if you've been a wicked racist, hating God's creation because of the color He gave them, God still loves you, and He still wants to save you and bring you into a right relationship with Him. If you've killed your own baby while he/she was still in your womb, if you've had one, two, three, four, or maybe even 10 abortions or more, Jesus died for every time you killed your child (even those of you who killed your child after the baby was born). And for those of you who touched or molested your own kid/kids or someone else's child/children, or you engaged in sex with animals, or who killed your own parents or other of your own family members, Jesus died for those sins. And while it's hard for many to comprehend and while just the thought of those things makes many people's skin to crawl, the Bible speaks of it all, and God loves you in spite of it all, and the Lord will forgive you and save you if you just come to Jesus, just receive the Lord into your heart. God will forgive every single one of those crimes, those sins that you committed, and He'll give you a clean slate and Eternal Life in His glorious Presence. But as you consider that, I want you to also consider God's Great Wrath because even as God's love is large and His mercy is magnificent and His grace is great, understand that His wrath is wide, so wide that the Bible says that Hell has enlarged Herself. Listen, God is able (if you refuse Jesus, and you refuse His love, if you ignore His mercy, if you reject His grace, you will die in your sins, and the Lord Is able) by His great wrath (which is worse than anything you can think of) to sentence you to a lifetime of eternal torment (a lifetime that Never Ends) your entire existence will be in the Lake of Fire forever, and you will be tormented day and night forever. There Is No Escape. And that lifetime can more appropriately be called a deathtime because you will be separated from God and His Life, yes from everything good forever. And so that experience is called the second death (Revelation 21:8). So yes, God's love, His mercy, and His grace are all great, but if you reject the blessing, you'll receive the curse. And be careful to choose wisely because no matter what evil thing you can think of, God's Wrath is worse. Amen. Jesus Christ loves you. Call on His Name and be saved today. This was a very sad day for me.Dr. Stanley your messages got me though alot of difficult times and nights during acute anxiety and panic attacks. You have a way of presenting God's message in a gentle but firm way. I spent several years watching your sermons online and TV advising my adult children to do the same. Your Biblical messages seem to come at the right time when I needed to hear it the most. My heart aches but your messages about worry and trusting in God still rings in my head. This is the second time Dr. Stanley has brought tears to my eyes. The first time i cried was a gift i recieved from my wife. We live in California and i told my wife that one of my dreams was to meet Dr. Stanley in person and attend one of his services in Atlanta. And on my Birthday my wife stated "get ready we have tickets for Atlanta." It was a wonderful surprise and the best birthday present ever. While at the morning service Dr. Stanley announced that at the evening services we would have a singspiration with many songwriters and singers in attendance, and that was just the icing on my cake. After all these years all i can say is "well done, good and faithful servant, your rewards are stored in heaven." Keep in Touch Dr. Stanley and God richly bless you is my prayer.

This man saved my life. I was going through some terrible anxiety, more than I thought I could handle until one night I was contemplating overdosing on some anti anxiety medication and ending my life. Then, as if God himself led me to it, I pulled up Charles Stanley's message "Victory over Anxiety" and listened to it, and put my pills away and prayed that God would help me and that I believed what Pastor Stanley preached that God DID NOT WANT MY LIVING IN ANXIETY AND FEAR. That I had to turn my life over to Jesus Christ, not just part of it, ALL OF IT. It has been 7 years since then, and the trend has been up, and then I started to make listening to Pastor Stanley a part of my schedule, and he placed inside of me a love for God's word. I know one day I will meet him in glory and Lord, please give this man a crown for what he did for me.

My mom made me have an abortion when I was 18 years. I started living with my boyfriend at 20 years old and he constantly pushed me to abort, I lost count after 10. But after 15 years of shame and regrets, and every time I heard or read the word “abortion” it was like a torment for me. I constantly asked God to forgive me until one day as Pastor Stanley was preaching on abortion and forgiveness, I was cooking in the kitchen and suddenly I felt that I couldn’t carry that shame and deep regrets anymore. I felt my clothes were heavy on me. Every time I took off one I felt like I needed to take more until I was completely naked. I felt lead to lay on the floor and I was weeping endlessly telling God here i am, remove the shame and guilt and forgive me and help me forgive myself. I got delivered that day! My Father removed it all for me. Thank you for doing what God called you to do, it saves me many lives.

When he says, " I love you all" I believe him. His wife left the marriage and he through the power of the Holy Spirit was able to maintain integrity unheard of in these days of compromise. I remember going through some very dark days it was his unwavering teaching of the Gospel that help me to stand. First Baptist of Atlanta is blessed to have him as an example of living a godly life. He will be missed weekly but knowing he's still healthy and preaching the good news is a blessing to the nation's.

Charles Stanley and John MacArthur were my Dad's two favorite Pastors. He died 23 years ago. I haven't been perfect but I have continued to listen to both at first out of curiosity to see why my Dad respected them so much, but now because I can see the wisdom my Dad used to see in them. Many religious leaders gather a huge following only to collapse in scandal. Not these two. They have been unwavering voices challenging us to seek a deeper relationship wiyh God and learn true obedience. About 30 years ago, i heard Dr. Stanley on the radio while driving. His semom was called "Out of this Wreck I Rise." I was a Christian who had slowly slid back into some worldly habits. I prayed with Dr. Stanley and redeficated my life to Christ. I later ordered the cassette tape and listened to it many times. Dr. Stanley gave an example of the metamorphosis thats transpires between a Caterpillar and a Butterfly and how the Butterfly never again takes up the habits of the old Caterpillar life because its been transformed into a new creature. This resonated with me and influenced me to make sure my actions reflected the transformation That had already taken place. Anyone else remember this sermon?
