His release " Connect " on this label is the best album he has ever recorded in my opinion! So great hearing him in a Quintet setting with a Saxophone in the mix! I listened to a Love Supreme the other day and " Connect " was the next disc in my player and I listened tp them back to back and how that recording transitioned from a Love Supreme, was seamless and they went so well together! Such a powerful recording, Charles is a master of his craft!!!

Playing piano, trombone, tuba and trumpet for a living I must say the piano is ten times more difficult than playing trumpet, on every level in every style..but I love Tolliver
