To think he's had to endure so many lows in his Strictly journey, to come out and produce these insane dances now is so heartwarming! Honestly could be a late bloomer heading for the final if he can keep this energy up, go on Charles!

I would love him in the final but I think he may just miss it. Faye and Ashley are basically guaranteed a place because I don't think they would ever lose a dance off (unless they were against each other!) And Joe and Stacey are SO popular with the public that their places are basically guaranteed too. It's a shame because he is such a good dancer!!

This was really surprising! He looked so at ease! His hip action was actually on point! This was also a very nice Samba choreography to very fitting music. Good job, Karen! Charles did those moves so smoothly... he looked very into the rhythm, and not just going through the motions. This was really nice. I normally like his dances, but this one just gave me a newfound interest in him. Semi-finals potential, perhaps? 9.5!

A few years ago, it was thought impossible that a strictly male celeb would understand the very particular hip action and knees that come with a Samba, or be able to make the shimmies look natural. That was thrown into disarray when Danny smashed it 2 years ago, and for those of us who thought it was a one off, Charles came out determined to prove us wrong. Of course, not quite as magical as Danny's- but nonetheless, WOW! Kudos to Karen too! 9!

I did NOT expect to see this! This is REALLY good! EH?! It looks so natural for him to do this dance, and Samba is a HARD dance, especially for a male celeb. Charles is most definitely the leading man here, he has brilliant body isolation (those shimmy-ing was HOT) and he looks like a grade ‘A’ DILF! Woof! His best dance yet! 9!

A couple of heel leads crept in there and in the promenade runs he was rising on the forward step, which is a no-no. Also, he has sickle feet when he forgets where they are. BUT, some good action going, and whilst it was not consistent, he is the closest I've seen to any male celeb getting the Samba tick. I enjoyed it and reckon he'll sail through to next week

This was immense!! I loved this! You can feel the energy that this dance created. You can actually see a lot more of him through his dances now, I think the problem in the beginning was that there was a slight barrier between him and the audience, you couldn't really connect to him; I liked him, but I wasn't really feeling his dances, even though they were danced well. Now he's giving everything he's got!

The singer here did a nice job recreating the Connie Francis version of "La Bamba." But do take a listen to the Connie Francis version (likely to be found here on You Tube). Connie sang it live in her show in Las Vegas--and it can be found on the album "Connie Francis Live at the Sahara Hotel in Las Vegas." It is a great album, but the way!

Oh my. That body. * fans herself * That was the dance Charles Venn needed. His hips were like a snake and his energy was off the scale. Yes there were 1 or 2 tiny little things that could have been better but my god, when he came out with the male pros and shimmied everything his Mama gave him, you just knew it was going to be a powerhouse performance. Karen was totally on fire too. They deserved those 10s.

Frankie Bridge much! But I was not expecting this at all! Especially since they do pretty good in speciality dances. This dance had the samba bounce throughout the entire dance! Love the execution of the content! When they went for the last move at the end, I was like please make it on time and they did!
