Bama fan here and I gotta give it up to Michigan they whipped our butts last night was one of the very few times I have seen my Tide get man handled. Maybe no other fans will tell you this but y’all whipped us from start to finish and if it wasn’t for special teams mistakes it wouldn’t have been a game and we had our chances but got stopped. Michigan earned that win we didn’t give it to them and I will be rooting for them to win it all and once again I hate to say but here it goes GO BLUE

@@RetrieverManthe true Alabama fans are great. They understand the good times and the bad. Always give respect to them. It’s the so called fans that are only with them because they win often but don’t have the true commitment. There are thousands like that. But Nothing to be ashamed of , bama played a tough game. They will definitely be ready and kicking tail next season. Go Blue

Appreciate the classy response. Thanks. I don't know what happened to our special teams, but that obviously needs to get cleaned up for the next game. I thought we had one of the best special teams units in the nation this year, so that was quite a disappointing performance by them.

That’s the second time Michigan beat Alabama in a bowl game in overtime. The first time was the 2000 Orange Bowl. Michigan had a lightly regarded QB, some kid named Brady, Tom I think. 😂

Dude,, I was like idk 14 years old for that 1997 season - 98 Rose Bowl… I’ll never forget that year the Ohio State game in the Big House unforgettable,, Charles shades of Desmond Howard punt return in that game and a huge interception..I’ll never forget watching Charles Woodson he just made you go wow every single week and the Heisman Trophy ceremony ,, that year was it was like dreamland… and the damn Split National title was the only black eye on that year but whatever it was out of there hands they did all they had to do ,,they’ll always be the Full National Champs In my heart.... coincidentally the BCS was born the very next year..

My dad was a big OSU fan, but we kids were Michigan fans since we grew up outside Ann Arbor. He got us all tickets to that OSU vs Michigan game that year. Got to see Woodson score in the endzone near our seats! Will never forget that game. Also, I was caked in mud up to my knees, as the walkways around the Big House were incredibly muddy that year.

Rich and Charles, I would LOVE to work with you two on a scholarship fund program in conjunction with Mott Hospital. Without the endless emails, gatekeepers, and back channels. What do you two think about my high-level concept, and how can we get the gears moving on this?

@@caseyhelmer276The only reason Nebraska shared the championship in 97 was because 13 coaches changed their vote in the last vote to gift a retiring Tom Osborne a championship. And all 13 had to change, 12 change and it’s not enough. Nebraska got a gift vs Missouri and in the final poll…after Nebraska beat a Peyton Manning who couldn’t beat Florida and a Tennessee team that wasn’t much in the bowl game

I've felt this way all year watching them play, you get a sense the older you get watching teams and seasons play out.. It's just Michigans time. I was about the only person here in the deep south that kept having to explain how they were capable of beating UGA or Bama because they got the dogs up front to do it.. During the Rose Bowl they were all telling me how right I was, for football junkies and people that actually watch film you could see that Michigan was the actual SEC team in the trenches this year..

Klatt says Washington is a mirror of Ohio State 2022. Perfect for Mich to defend. But Penix is so accurate doesn’t take sacks and they are healthy on D now except for their RB. Corum is great like Achane. Klatt also said and Saban said Michigan D is like Baltimore’s because they have those D coaches from Baltimore’s staff.

Maybe if Michigan hadn't suspended Harbaugh over a cheeseburger, negotiations would be more straightforward. I would need a public apology along with the contract extension.
@CertifiedClapaholic

As a Michigan fan, the fact that Harbaugh always has one foot out the door feels like mild betrayal. I understand coach's desire to win the SB but I, personally, do not understand the appeal of competing in the sterilized and corporatized NFL. Once Jim leaves, I don't see how Michigan maintains any of this momentum. Sure, Coach Moore is a good coach, but he's not Harbaugh. Plus, Coach Harbaigh made it pretty clear that he wanted to not just build a house and leave, he wanted to maintain it for a while. Well you're not done building the house, Coach. Leaving now is not what you told us you wanted when you first got here. Depressing stuff to think about while on the precipice of the National Championship game 😔😔😔

Stop it. Woodson was by far the best player in the country that year. The Heisman isn't a "Lifetime Achievement" award, it's a single season award. @thebluefus…Washington’s offense hasn’t even faced a top 10 defense. They certainly haven’t seen the #1 defense. If Michigan can get to Penix with twists,stunts & hidden blitzes, Penix will struggle. Washington does have a top rated O-line, but we’ll have to see what Jesse Minters gameplan is to get through that O-line. Washington has a set of 3 receivers that are weapons and a smart top 2 QB. But that’s why they play the game…have to play and see who executes better.
