i feel like hiring a cameramen was the best moove you guys could have done. It suits you well, you have great camera chemistry. We can relate with you more. Love how charles and alyssa turn out.
I can’t believe you guys sat on the floor of the convenience store and made a table with the basket! 😮😅 I’ve never seen anyone do that in the 12 years I lived in Japan.

Hey Charles and Alyssa. I think you guys should have done your research before visiting Japan. As much as i love you both. You were both disrespectful and kinda rude in the way you conducted yourselves. I'll use, for example, speaking and laughing loudly, making yourselves at home in a convience store. If you've observed Japanese people in any way, i think you'll find they do not act this way. Especially in public. I mean the above with no disrespect to you both❤

Charles & Alyssa, I’m half Japanese🇯🇵& was born there, u can’t just eat on the floor like that it’s a respect thing once again, I will say this there is a such thing as a dine-in convenient gas stations where u can sit & eat. We only sit on the floor if it’s at a house or sum restaurants that allow eating on the floor but u have a table infront of u. I’ll say for food try their Onigiri🍙 known as a rice ball in English & their bento boxes so good u get varieties on one plate good portions as well. Drinks stick to ur Calpico Soda and drink flavors & try the Gun Gun Gurt two iconic Japanese drinks that we love. Hope this helps Charles & Alyssa.

With absolute no rudeness because I could be wrong but I do believe maybe the eating in 7/11 was out of their boundaries of social culture and respect a bit. People’s reactions to it I feel like said a lot. Super important to do research on these countries prior to travelling because it’s a lot different than the little world we know. ❤❤loved seeing the food though. Just be careful this country is beautiful and has so many beautiful things to enjoy but being foreigners it’s important to abide by the culture🥹

I came here to say this. There's such a huge culture of respect in Japan and sitting on the floor like that was disrespectful.
@melaniegrace6677 ай бұрын
i was about to say the same thing from their first Japan video about their loudness, specifically in closed spaces like restaurants, trains or fast food chains. for all i remember, Japan is also very weary about loudness in public
@loriparent21957 ай бұрын
Couldn't agree more!!! I found it soo very rude and extremely disrespectful. Apparently the customers did to cuz they mentioned that they were about to get kicked out (or something like that).
@christinescorner1117 ай бұрын
@@NathanialLauren right, I feel like that’s common knowledge that Japan is known for its reserved, respectful culture. But obviously not, I know they are kind people that mean well but this was off unfortunately for the circumstances and environment 🥺 extremely disrespectful imo

Being a Japanese myself, I know I would never be able to sit on the floor of a combini and eat. If I did , they would tell me to leave right away because I look Japanese. So I guess it was a foreigner privilege. The staff understood that you're tourists having a good time in a foreign country , so left you alone until you were almost done. I envy you guys. You guys did what I have wanted to do but never done before . As I see many western toursits breaking Japanese unwrittten rules, I come to think "Why do we have so many tiny rules? " Maybe we need more freedom like you guys showed,

I can tell you what all you guys are and drink. The sushi was actually not fish it was meat, usually it's minced pork, I couldn't see the ramen so can't really tell you what that was. The lemon drink is I believe light tea with lemon or lemon water, could read the label so not really sure. Then at Lawson, the pancake is red beans. It's boiled and sugar is added. It's supposed to be sweet. Any of the dryed seafood, pretty much all taste the same just has its own seasoning. I don't really remember all the candy y'all ate but I know some of it is new. Haven't been back home in a while so. I hope y'all enjoyed your time. Oh yeah the premade meals are usually really good. Most people actually eat those for lunch of even dinner.

Ok I love your vlogs and stuff but Japan is a very conservative country. Typically if there is no dedicated places to eat you want to go somewhere else to do that so that’s probably why you were getting a lot of looks. Also, if you’re in the main city of Tokyo English is common but knowing some phrases like please, thank you, where is ____ , is seen as polite. I’ve been to the province and people barely speak English. Otherwise, love your vlogs but just be mindful that the locals will forever stereotype Americans traveling to their country.
