Shoji Meguro is fantastic and a man of many talents. Not only did he write the jazzy, funky tunes of P5 but he also wrote the poppy songs of P4, the slick hip hop beats of P3 and even the harsh and heavy rock/metal pieces of SMT3, just to name a few. Truly a GOAT among video game composers.

@@ShadowOfMassDestruction 3's is the most overrated soundtrack of all time. If you play the game you'll notice it gets repetitive quick. This being said 3 does have heartful cry and burn my dread as well as others. But what you have to hear through most of the game is so bad. For example Joy. @@ShadowOfMassDestruction Yeah that's fair I just still feel like 4 overall does the music the best out of the persona series. Then I'd give it to 5 because Shoji Meguro went crazy on dungeon themes and world themes. Lyn's stuff is just kind of okay, until the Royal when she makes more risky forms for the songs. Then Revelations Persona at number three for the world music and dungeon themes being all decent. Persona 3 for the few bangers, and dead last Persona 2, it has two tracks both by Toshiko Tasaki that slap, but that is literally all.

This soundtrack rivals some of my favorite albums of all time. The first playthrough of the game was my intro to Persona in general, and the music fit the style so well that it trapped me into series instantly. Beneath the Mask, especially the rainy version just hit the perfect spot. Rivers in the Desert was such a banger too, my whole chatroom knew it was coming and lost it when it hit. That's a sign that they did something very right the whole way through musically. It hits the highs and lows so well, and teases you with full instrumental versions of tunes just to come back and slap amazing vocals into an already amazing jam. Cannot stress enough that this game was a masterpiece to me. Great video too! Love the "woah" moments to the chord progressions and the smile they brought

City Ruins(Rays of Light) from NieR Automata, like the rest of the OST for the game, is awesome. Since the story is set in a ruined land, all of the ambietal OSTs like this one and "Amusement Park" really give off a creepy but beutiful and emotional vibe. I'm currently playing through Persona 5 Royal and have to say the game has so much style and creates a great atmosphere. From the music, to the graphics and all the other things that makes the game a smooth package, when at it's best, it feels like a party. Speaking as a grown man, P5 being my second Persona game after 4, there's a little to much highschool life etc. in the games, but as a total package their just such good games that it doesn't matter.

Persona 3 takes a lot of hip hop influences and is rhythmically super interesting!
