Totally agree Harold knocked it out of the ballpark and for Warner Bros. it was a very disappointing effort on the airport with no extras and nothing special outside of the 4K transfer. Great review of all aspects of the Arrow box set. It was interesting to hear Frankie's thoughts on the different types of picture quality. I was blown away when I first saw the advert by Arrow for the box set. But it still does depend on personal choice. It seems that every few years, as the threshold for technology expands. So does the presentation to unimaginable quality. But Bruce is still great to watch whatever the quality. Great show and great interaction all round.😁👍🐉

I like the fact that these films continue to get upgraded for the latest tech. But lets not forget, that Lee's posthumous legacy was forged (mainly) in low rent "grind house" theaters showing grainy, dusty and dirty prints on barely functioning projectors in the less than stellar districts of cities. We are so spoiled now. The out-of-focus picture, bad sound, dim bulbs and colorful "ambiance" was all part of the fun. The original prints, of all of these films, never looked anywhere near as "good." And it absolutely did not matter.

Always great to see you guys doing an episode together. This set is by far the best we've had so far. In my opinion i dont think we'll get any better on the big boss. I would be very suprised if the saw scene ever appears. There is a clip of the extra body in the ice here on KZbin. Great episode guys. Hi Charles, Fantastic Episode. I like the expert opinions in this Episode. I do have to let you know a couple of things. I was told by a friend of mine that there are still delete scenes from the big boss that are not in the Manderin Cut. I also wanted to mentioned that an interview that Sifu Alex Richter did with Steve Kerridge. Steve said that he asked the Arrow Company how did they get the Manderin cut. He said they asked fortune Star company and they at first said they didn't have it but the Arrow representive was persistent and then they said they had it. They had it for 50 years. Incredible. Also, to Confirm what Sifu Richard Torres said about the Blondie Episode with Bruce Lee. Sifu Jesus Santiago saw it and he told me that it was a VHS video and Quality. He said that one of the scenes was like the Scene in the Fist of Fury where Bruce beats up the school. By the way I liked your surprised Guess, Layla. I have the red version of this boxset. I found the BIG Boss and Fist of Fury 4k transfers to me were amazing. The Way of the Dragon not so much. Especially the beginning parts.

Sometimes I am like , it stinks we had to wait 50 years after his death to get any extra footage. I mean I was a kid in 77 and I was wanting to see the courtyard fights with dan and bruce and was thinking then what a shame we can't see it. I also think this is the only time you get to see Bruce and Dan interacting together as real life friends and not on screen acting. I am sure there is much much more out there. I won't be around in another 50 sadly to wait for more.

Great boxed set and a good addition to any Bruce Lee fans collection. With that being said, I personally think GOD II doesn't deserve to be in there, it is not a Bruce Lee movie and the quality of the movie doesn't measure up to the high standard of Bruce Lee films. Maybe I'm just being nitpicky. Another nitpick of mine is the inner sleeve artwork (disk side) of the Way of the Dragon cover concerning the art work of Bruce in his most famous pose with nunchaku, the studio thought to censor it and the nunchaku was emitted from the artwork. That was a silly decision, as a collector paying for a collectors set, I expect nothing short of the best quality and the most intricate details for my money and to emit that detail simply because of censorship is ridiculous. Best thing is the fact that they transferred the movies to UHD 4k is an achievement, the full GOD featurette a bonus (barre the cheesy dialog). I purchased some Bruce Lee sketches art work from your store years ago, They're by far a favorite of my collection. Be well 🙏🙏

Totally agree about the Digipack's. Whenever I bring this up on Blu-Ray forums, I get shouted down. Many boutique companies in the UK now go the Digipack route, ?why?, because it cuts costs and also doesn't use plastic. These businesses would say it's about the environmental factor 😂, but the cost of that is the loss of hard cases placed within the box set. Indicator and Second Sight do the same thing with their box sets. My Indicator Universal Noir Box set 1 had the disc holder come off the backing, and that was a more recent release. I cannot stand digipacks. For all the fantastic packaging, the digipack is the collector's worse nightmare, and the boutique labels won't budge from it in the UK. Terrible...

Hi Charles, I've been watching your videos and I've been curious about the, what appear to be, on set clips on VHS from Enter the Dragon. What are they? Where do they come from? I've heard about the mythical four and a half hours of footage filmed on 16mm during the filming of Enter the Dragon and cut into the very short On Set with Enter the Dragon ... are the clips from that footage? And if so, does that mean there is still the possibility that that footage might still exist somewhere and wasn't destroyed by Warner Bros as suggested by Robert Clouse in his book?

Alan nice to meet you and all great question. The clips are part of the 11-12 minutes of Ahna Carpri footage shot on her Super 8MM camera at the time. The other 3 hours of ETD footage I heard ended up on the cutting room floor and was not saved. But who really knows for sure! Where does James Tien get his stick from as he does not have it when he comes up the stairs. Also Dan now has two sets of both long and short sticks, as he throws the first set onto the tiger throne before beating Chien up. Well done on the 40K subscribers. Probably ex fans of Beerdy who have realised he's been conning them.

Also just realised that the other stick Dan threw on to the tiger throne has been in the background all the time and I never noticed it. Duh! It was worth the wait. The Red and Yellow box set are identical. It all depends on which cover art you enjoy more. I prefer the covers that are on the DVDs in the red box set. But both sets are great and put out by arrow. So whichever when you get you are going to love.
