Stanford got an awesome track, streets to run on, and plenty of trails and routes nearby. It’s a great choice :)

If Stanford is perfect for you, that’s what matters! Congratulations! Clearly, it’s an amazing school. I almost attended there, but since I grew up just a few miles from Stanford, I opted for an East Coast experience at Yale, which I loved. So, I understand how you feel. Enjoy every moment there. It’s an experience unlike any you’ll experience again, and one that few have the privilege of enjoying. You’re a lucky man, and Stanford is equally lucky to have a student of such talent, character, and humility. Thanks for sharing your story.....Oh, congratulations also on 10K subscribers!! I’ll bet you never expected that so quickly. 😊 You deserve it!

As an aspiring collegiate student athlete I love seeing videos speaking on someones recruitment process. While I am not a runner, I find it super interesting to see the similarities and differences on the recruitment for different sports!

Great job keeping this story personal to you. A lot of people think they have to have this gpa to go here or these times to go there but in reality every recruiting process is different and unique to you.

Very helpful video! As an international student, the whole recruitment process is a bit of a unknown for me, and by making the entire video just about that is such a relief because there aren't many information sources who explain the process to the point of understandment (if that's even a word), so for that I sincerely thank you!

Thanks for sharing, Charles! This was so cool. Do you like being far from home? Personally, when I'm off to college, I would prefer being closer to home (within state), but I understand everyone has their own preferences! Happy Summer, stay healthy and safe, but have fun!

My high school just cancelled my junior year fall season for all sports (I play volleyball lol), Stanford is my dream school for track! Hope we still have a spring season!!

Wow! Very cool story. Your intelligence, high standards, and perseverance have clearly paid off, and probably will continue to do so in the future. Your ability to communicate well has really helped me to understand your process. When you speak I am able to visualize your story, step by step, and truly feel your experiences. Awesome job!!! I look forward to watching your running career and life unfold. I have one simple and fun question. Talk to us about losing your British accent.

Might just be me....but the background music was kind of loud at times and distracting. Lol. And you got to run with Jakob. That’s cool. Keep up the good work. 😀

This guy is apparently a college campus groupie. I just looked up most beautiful campus and surprisingly my school was listed first, Yale. Yale has buildings to die for. They got huge contributions in the depression to build (Standard Oil Money wasn’t hurt much) and built lavishly, partly to keep an army of skilled craftsmen above water. But I prefer Princeton. I also love Duke’s campus, which he considered. And I also love CU at Boulder. And of course Stanford is near the top, top five in my book. He picked a murderer’s row of campuses.
