Since we last talked I won the NCAA Cross Country Championship and it's been a crazy couple of weeks! Congratulations, Charles! You first popped up in my feed a couple months ago (I think it was your Stanford cafeteria tour) and I was impressed with your communication skills, like-ability and humble personality. I then started watching more of your videos, going back to that old footage in England where you first realized you were a good runner, watching that gradual progression from there to your current NCAA win. What an amazing transformation, and you did such an excellent job of explaining and showing how you did it. I’m not an athlete and I graduated from the U of Minnesota 51 years ago, but I lived in a dorm that housed many great athletes and I was fortunate enough to have the captain of the swim team, a rowing team member, a hockey team member and a football quarterback on my small floor of just seven dorm rooms. Another group lived right next door that included an NCAA high jump winner. They, like you, we’re all personable, smart, energetic and athletic. Thanks for bringing back those memories and making me realize that there are still people like that today. I haven’t seen you post lately but was so tremendously happy for your well deserved win!
