I'm from Charleston...it is not "The French Quarter" like New Orleans, we don't have that.

Yeah but the area is named in honor of the French merchants and heugonots who established parts of the city there and brought with them their culture. Charleston is 40 years older than NOLA and the similarities between the two are cities uncanny. Charleston is the prim and proper version of NOLA.
