That terminal opened up in 1985 and is unrecognizable from when I lived there and worked right across the runway. A very handy airport. Charleston is a beautiful city and lived downtown in the historic district but was glad to leave when I retired. One good thing is that they closed the paper mill some years ago. Nothing like stepping out of the airport and breathing in that strong sulphur smell.

I spent a few days in Charleston SC and flew in/out of CHS. It’s a nice airport. I got lunch at one of the gourmet market places in the central hall. It was pretty good.
