Yay Charley! I don't think of him as country, I think of him as a cowboy, singing cowboy music. Kinda like Michael Martin Murphy singing cowboy songs...so I was very happy when he came along some time back and really happy he's seen more besides just on the road. It’s a damn shame that most genres of music like country are solely based on revenue & platforming one’s fame. It’s a breath of fresh air to see artists like Charley Crockett, or individuals as Chris Stapleton, Sturgill Simpson & even some of Nick Phoenix’s catalog just being themselves and constructing music that we want to hear but delivering it in ways we’d never expect it.
