@@HowlinWilf13 you are right! I’ve changed the lyrics. Also so many points where the guitar speaks rather than Charlie - wasn’t sure what to do with those. Happy to be advised by everyone out there who cares about Charlie Patton

@@markritchie9590 God, I love this beautiful record, particularly Part 2. You've done an outstanding job on the lyrics. I've never managed to decipher the third verse, but I think you've nailed it. Even though Charlie never sings 'hand', and always lets the guitar do it, I'm sure you're right. So, a big thank you for that! The only other thing I would offer is 'I've been 'bused and I've been scorned', but I wouldn't bet the house on it 🙂.
