One of my favorite things about Charli’s music is that she collabs with many artists multiple times. This makes for incredible music and the collabs don’t seem random, but based on chemistry and mutual understanding of each other’s artistry

Yess, I feel the same. Like it creates this hype when she collabs with the same person because we already have seen how great things work between the two. Like another song with Cristine, you know is gonna be a banger. On the other hand you wonder when she will collab again with some great artists. I'm hoping for a collab with Rina Sawayama again.

yes! i just noticed that she often has more collabs on an album than „solo“ songs which is so cool because i normally don’t really enjoy features of other artists. charli just does it different tho and it is refreshing because every song is so different

She has so much good stuff! She was in a band called Chairlift (their biggest hit was “Bruises”. I remember it from an Apple commercial back in 2006-7-ish). But of her solo stuff, “Door” is my fave. The music video is art. “So hot you’re hurting my feelings”, “Bunny Is A Rider”, “Welcome to my Island”, “Smoke”, etc=all bops.

Can we all just take a moment to appreciate Christine‘s total commitment to her character in the video, killing it on the dance floor hamming it up with those sweet moves. I’m not particularly familiar with her music or her persona, but clearly she was having fun, and she was equally fun to watch. What if you wanted to watch because we both know? That now we are so close We don't have to fight how we feel When the lights and the skins are a call so surrender to it [Pre-Chorus 2: Christine and the Queens] All night, all day (All night, baby) Then wе fall in love in new shapes (New shapes, baby) New shapes Then the morning comes all misty, we fade (Misty, baby) 'Cause we fell in love in new shapes (What?) In new shapes, oh [Chorus: Charli XCX & Christine and the Queens] What you want I ain't got it (Got it) What you want (We could go on) What you want I ain't got it I ain't got it [Bridge: Caroline Polachek] Thinkin' of me, but you're stuck on the west side again Maybe we're meant for another dimension, babe Deep in the dark of your brain like a star in space You call it art, but you pulled on my heart And you twisted it into a new shape Yeah, I'm dive bar-ing again and again Trying to get up close to you Fucked if I know how it's gonna end But honestly, life would be better if I never Met you in the first place [Chorus: Charli XCX, Christine and the Queens & Caroline Polachek] What you want (Oh) I ain't got it (Yeah) What you want (I ain't got it) What you want I ain't got it (Charli, Caroline, Chris) What you want (What you want, what you want) (I ain't got it) What you want I ain't got it What you want (Ah-ha, ha, yeah) What you want I ain't got it (I ain't got it, baby) I ain't got it

I think the thing that really captures you in this song, and this performance, is the amount of joy in the performers. They clearly connect artistically on a very visceral level, regardless of any difference in vocals, style, or aesthetic. Every verse hits in its own special way. I knew this song would be a grower as soon as I heard it, now it’s one of my favorite tracks in Charli’s career.
