This was a really good movie. Sure it might be seen as twisted and as a horror movie to most, but it was great. I loved the choice of the cast, the props, the background, and how we see Willy's backstory through flashbacks. It might be annoying to some people, but personally, I liked it, Yes it does focuses a bit more on Willy, but at least it stayed faithful to the book. At least this version shows that the kids are fine (despite what happened to them during the tour) and still alive, and in the original, we never knew what happened to the kids. Which kinda freaks me out. .

Tim Burton and Johnny Depp really create magic together and this movie shows it more than anythin else. If the premise of the movie doesn't put viewers in the Christmas spirit, your excitement throughout the reaction is more than enough to do it ❤ Laura really has no chill 😂 "Maybe you work there" That got a good laugh outta me! Moral of the story after watchin this reaction: Laura: If it has chocolate in it, I like it! Magy: vibing to the music, excitement over 9000 Chewbacca reference - Magy's a real one ❤ The Switzerland reference 😂😂😂 You're not gettin any rest, Magy! It's heartwarming, seeing how Willy's dad kept tabs on him the entire time, collecting articles about all his accomplishments and the best part? He actually got himself another family, Charlie's. This was a phenomenal reaction, you two did a wonderful job with it ❤

I followed along but it didn't really pull me in until near the end when the boy chose his family. That was the jewel that made this movie so good. Also, I was surprised by the cameo appearance of Christopher Lee (a.k.a. Count Dooku or Saruman) as Willy's dad and their reconciliation. Same as you guys, I didn't get a strong Xmas vibe but it was very nice for the winter season. Good choice, ladies. 🧲💕🎄

How many kids in total were there? I'm wondering if there was some undertones of the 7 Deadly Sins in this...? I'm probably reaching... EDIT @ Yugioh420 : The reply button is not working for me anymore so I cannot reply directly - I dunno if you'll see this edit or not, but anyway... Hahaha, those guesses are great! Your first assessment sounded like the best one! Charlie = Envy (I didn't think any could apply to Charlie, being he was such a kind & generous kid, but Envy is perfect!) Violet = Pride (arrogance) Veruca = Greed (your other theories on Greed were good, but I reckon that spoiled brat demanding her Daddy buy her everything was a better fit) Augustus = Gluttony Mike = Anger (Wonka's anger at his father fits this nicely as well - or even his father too ; that cantankerous, domineering old grouch - but Mike was my first thought, for his aggression and bad attitude) The only leftovers are Lust and Sloth, but you attributed sloth to Charlie's elders for being in bed all day, which made me laugh, so that's good enough for me! Sloth = old people hahaha Hard to find a place for Lust in a family movie... oh well... almost got`em all! :-P Thanks for the comments!
@Yugioh420
@Yugioh420 7 ай бұрын
I'm sure they could get all of them in there in some form. Pride would be Violets mom for her rewards, greed was more better represented in the first movie because of the chance to selling out to slugworth, wrath I guess would be willy himself. He was angry with people stealing his secrets so he fired everyone and shut down his factory rather then let them steal from him and in the original he gets very angry the fizzy lifting drinks where stolen. But he does get over it pretty quickly so maybe Mike tv with his eternal bad attitude? Envy was Charlie standing outside the candy store window watching all the other kids getting lots of candy that he couldn't, just was again Violets mom trying to flirt with willy wonka a few different times if for no other reason then to make her daughter the winner. Gluttony would definitely be Agusts and sloth I guess could be the grand parents who have been in bed for 20 years.
@Yugioh420
@Yugioh420 7 ай бұрын
I guess greed would be them fighting over the top prize after already getting a life time supply of chocolate. Heck it could even be Willy being greedy with his idea's. Not sure about that last one. I mean on the one hand if you are a genius and your coming up with thousands of new and never before seen candies that's making you millions of dollars does it really matter if someone steels some of your ideas and makes there own fortune off them too? After all your the genius just come up with even more great ideas. But of course on the other hand they are ALL his ideas so why should others profit off theft? I don't know.
