I love how much they were actively opposed to adding Danny Davito, only for Danny to jump in head first and elevate the show greatly. Love to see the support to recognise actors like Charlie! The entire Sunny cast deserves their flowers and it's especially true for Glenn Howerton and Kaitlin Olson as actors! They're always listening, reacting and supporting even in the background of scenes, and adding nuances to their performances that feel so natural that we don't realize it's an acting choice. Meeting Glenn in person and seeing how kind and warm he was really hammered home how different he is at his core from Dennis (and even from the heightened version of himself he plays up on the podcast). The casual fans may not notice but to the super fans, it's clear how talented and underrated he is, and it's sad how disrespected comedy television is (unless it's on prestige cable) that he should have trouble with typecasting and getting better dramatic roles.

@BlazingOwnager8 ай бұрын
@@big.muscles.ohyeah I don't think it's gall to assume that if a character can play instruments that the actor is not required to know how to play instruments. I mean come on man. Do you think everybody that's doing a biopic about a musician is remotely capable as a musician? Charlie Day doing this is the exception, not the rule, and that is why it impressed me. If Dennis had to play a wild guitar solo, odds are he would be dubbing it. It's not a lot to do with 'effort' or the 'extra mile,' it's like.. you can't train actors to actually do what their characters can do most of the time. It is nice when they go that distance but you can't realistically ask it of them. Like most people are never going to spend the time training for action stuff like Keanu Reeves does, but I'm not going to fault every character who needs to get into a firefight for not having an actor that spent months practicing on advanced range courses. I suspect that applies to 95% of the other people in a Wick movie, even.

nice job to bait me with the title of the video. i enjoyed learning about this man through my obsession with always sunny. i usually try to stay away from the actors as they don't interest me outside of the show/movie, but with always sunny it is different because the actors are also the writers, also the producers, also the people who their characters were more or less inspired by, much more flanderized and adapted to a certain genre yes, but largely inspired. that's why sunny is an insane show, it's insane that it is still going, it's amazing that it found its audience and it's amazing how writers take so much from themselves and their own interactions with interesting people and the changing world. charlie day really is great that way as he can write his semi-self insert character charlie kelly into the show so well just like his co-writers and co-producers that we get to see him through his craft. his film fool's paradise was a very creative work too, i really enjoy the silent protagonist, i don't really care for hollywood hehe. but seeing it through his eyes was cool i guess.
