The closest thing to shop lifting I ever did was when I was around 16-18 years old I brought somethings for £4 and I payed £5 and the cashier instead of giving me £1 change she gave me £10 I didn't say anything I just took it and left

You know, I’m pretty sure a lot of us have shoplifted at least 1 time when we were young and probably gotten away with it, but didn’t let it affect the course of our lives. We accept what we’ve done, learn from it, and not do it again. Plain and simple. I get this is just a sitcom, but Alan is really making too big a deal out of it.

I've actually never shoplifted my step mother didn't pay for an item and I was going to take it back inside but she insisted not to she seemed to be okay with shoplifting but if one of the kids did it we'd have our butts beaten red.

I shoplifted multiple times, until my grandma took me to a stupid church that didn’t help at all. She took my uncle that smokes a lot, I just stopped doing it because I don’t want her taking me anywhere and I never liked her. It affected my relationship with my parent growing up but after like 11 years old I just stopped doing it

The worst I've ever done is see a movie I wanted, hid it behind my back and went to show my parents. But the movie section had these sensors that separated it from the book section and they'd go off if you took a movie out of the movie section without checking it out at the register. So the sirens and lights started going and five year old me started crying. The employees actually cared about theft in those days and the crying turned to screaming and begging when three of them rushed me. 😂 Now they'll just let it happen. Every store I go to, they have regular people come in and steal. They know them on sight but I've heard every excuse from "Management told us not to get involved. Our lives are worth more." and "We're not paid enough to care." to "The cops are either too slow or don't even respond anymore." Which is all true. Thieves are more brazen now than they used to be. They know no one will do anything in the moment.
