@afterlife697 Fun fact people "believe" in aliens, bigfoot, leprechauns, the Loch Ness monster, and thousands of different subjective "God's". Clearly people's "beliefs" are not indicative of the veracity of said "beliefs" 😁
@YWUBHYD7 күн бұрын
I don’t simply believe in God, Christ, or the Holy Spirit; I know they are true. Belief is the subjective acceptance of something as true without necessarily requiring external evidence or rational justification, often shaped by personal experiences, emotions, and biases. Knowledge, on the other hand, is a justified true belief: not only something believed to be true, but also supported by evidence, reasoning, and verifiable facts, carrying a higher level of objective certainty. In contrast, belief can exist without proof and is influenced by personal biases or emotions. Knowledge requires both truth and justification, while belief does not. While most Christians believe in God, I know Him through the evidence of His Almighty and everlasting existence. Knowledge of God is grounded in a deeper, personal understanding and experience of His reality, which aligns with the objective evidence of His existence, such as the intricacy of the universe, the historical evidence of Christ, and the transformative power of faith. Therefore, while belief in God may rely on personal conviction, knowledge of God is grounded in evidence: spiritual, philosophical, and historical, supporting the truth of His nature and existence, making it more certain and objective. While many Christians believe in God, in light of the aforementioned, I confidently know God through evidence rather than simply believing He exists.
@trumpbellend67177 күн бұрын
@@YWUBHYD "Truth" is demonstrated dear not asserted, its that which best conforms with the FACTS and EVIDENCE and has nothing whatsoever to do with anyone's "faith" in a God. Knowledge of FACTS, also called "propositional knowledge", is defined as true belief that is distinct from opinion or guesswork by virtue of justification. A "FACT" is a point of data that is objectively verifiable ( demonstrable ) Absent "Facts" one has only the opinion or guesswork and no justification to claim such knowledge. Science has all the FACTS yet claims nothing as "absolute" truth. Christianity conversely claims absolute truth in everything yet has no FACTS 😜 To assert as FACT that for which there is insufficient evidence is intellectually dishonesty and essentially no different than a *"LIE"*

@Fahrenheit405111 күн бұрын
Unless they lie to themselves. Interesting paradox - Actually witnessing a miracle would greatly increase the probability of believing something, but hearing about miraculous claims from centuries ago actually reduced the probability. For example, nobody questions the story of Socrates to the same degree, because it's a lot more believable. Jesus himself said that those who believe without seeing are even more blessed. Also compare and contrast the two Lazaruses, which appear to be making the opposite point. Every belief requires a degree of faith, and every society requires faith in one another in order to function properly. The problem is when faith gets confused with delusion, which is the realm of the Pharisees.

The academic answer is the church gathered thousands of copies of the text in the 4th century to compare what the scribes of various regions had written. What they found was some portions of the text in a region were a bit different than other regions. But not all regions changed the same text. So by comparing thousands of versions they were able to weed out things that had been changed in one region but not others to get back to the original text. The accuracy of the text has been tested by comparing with ancient versions of the scripts that have been found to compare the wording. And the text is the same. The Dead Sea scrolls are one of the largest finds that had entire chapters which were compared and the text was the same.

Spiritual matters can only be discerned by people who have the person of the Holy Spirit living in them. People who don't, the unsaved, cannot discern spiritual things, it is folly to them (1 Cor. 2:14). They left the cemetery after Jesus’ resurrection, went into the holy city of Jerusalem, and appeared to many people” (Matthew 27:51-53).

The eyewitness writers in The New Testament are Matthew, John, James, Jude, and Peter for certain. Paul may have witnessed something before the Resurrection, and Mark may have been present in The Garden of Gethsemane.

But Paul’s testimony is also great. His conversion by Jesus on the road to Damascus from a Christian- slaughtering Pharisee to a believer used my Christ to spread the Gospel is an amazing testimony. Paul suffered greatly up to his death when he could have chosen to live a favorable life as a Roman citizen.

@Belmiciotto I was simply correcting what Charlie said in regard to eyewitnesses. Paul may have received or seen things directly that are mentioned in The Gospel of Luke, but the others were definitely around during Jesus' worldly ministry.

Kirk didnt say it but you nailed it right after the clip: the issue is not that they were willing to die for their belief, but that *no one* would lay their life down for something they know to be a lie. They were there. If Jesus did not rise from the dead, they would know it. Why would they die for a lie?

It always puzzles me how people think that its crazy to believe in jesus and yet the same people will believe in some crazy notion of the ' Universe' when things go right for them the universe has ordained it . Thls vague idea that the Universe controls our lives is as crazy as anything else, but They cannot believe in a Loving Creator whos image we are made after & Whos Son died for us in order that we may be reconciled to him. To me this makes perfect sense. In a world where every moment of every day has meaning, So to live in this vague fuzzy notion that life came from none life & that we all just random mutations with out meaning or purpose in a Universe that somehow imbues us now & again with select favours is not crazy ?, but of course that's what satan would have us believe but then thats crazy talk ???

I replied to someone’s comment with this, but I think it’s worth sharing with everyone as an original comment: I don’t simply believe in God, Christ, or the Holy Spirit; I know they are true.

There are many important points made by Mr. Kirk, one being the testimony of women! Back then, if someone was trying to persuade you of something, they would never have used testimony that could not have even been allowed in court. But they did. Why? Because they truly believed it. And no one ever recanted! I do need to point out that Luke wasn't an eye witness. He never claimed to be. In his own words he wrote; "Since many have undertaken to compile an account of the things accomplished among us, just as they were handed down to us by those who from the beginning were eyewitnesses and servants of the word, it seemed fitting to me as well, having investigated everything carefully from the beginning, to write it out for you in an orderly sequence, most excellent Theophilus; so that you may know the exact truth about the things you have been taught." Luke was a physician, and therefore very methodical and careful in his approach to writing his gospel.

We must be very careful on every decision and moves we make,when we are in the direct battle against darkness. At 6:39 ,Charlie display two fingers as an example. I would highly recommend we use other fingers to represent two. I don't believe Charlie did it deliberate ,but none the less, we need to be aware. Christ is King!

The apostle Paul (Saul) himself was an agent of persecution and executed Christians on behalf of the Pharisees and the Sanhedrin until he saw Jesus resurrected in person and was blinded by the experience. If this were not true, then *WHY* would he join a failed cult whose leader had been publicly executed and who Saul (Paul) had every reason to believe was "dead and buried"? What would be Paul's motive for doing this? For abandoning his faith, his tradition, his family and his career and his standing with the Pharisees to volunteer for a death sentence? There is no rational basis upon which an argument can be made for this given Paul's education, cultural and political standing and his initial desire to persecute and execute all followers of a movement Saul saw as a cult and a blasphemy against his faith. The only rational answer is that he witnessed something that compelled him to believe and to pursue that truth unto his death.

Psalms 22 was written approximately 1,000 years before Christ. No mortal man or men could create, stage and pull off the events so accurately to this prophetic writing. This is also the exact scripture that Christ was quoting as he hung on the cross, I believe he did this to bring Psalms 22 to the minds of those present that day, as both men and women were taught the book of Psalms. He was still trying to teach and save His people as he suffered and died. Praise God, He arose!

Another great example is the Roman Empire itself. Rome changed there entire religious view after the crucification and resurrection of Jesus adopting Christianity into there society! Eventually forming the Roman Catholic Church which became the steeple of there government. This indicates that the Roman’s and Rome experienced events that completely changed their view and belief in Christ. These historical events cannot be denied!!
@michaelkendall6627 күн бұрын
Rome did not rely on a "Christian" religion throughout the empire officially until Constantine in 311 AD and even then if you look at the RCC doctrine it is NOT a KJV Doctrine......Paul never made an official missionary trip to Rome there was a Church of Rome consisting of Christians of the same belief as the Apostles from remnants of other churches he had planted moving to or through there including Priscilla
