0:00 Teaser / Intro
1:04 Part of my strategy for the debate
7:41 Are kids being taught that "Melanin is their Master"?
11:05 Racism can be omnipresent without every element in society being built by and for racists
13:07 Rule #05 of CRT is the most important one
17:29 Do NOT SAY you are the one standing for science, Charlie!
21:40 Is this ACTUALLY what's being taught in our schools?
25:04 He's getting all of this info from that one Smithsonian museum pamphlet...
26:55 A viewer asks Vaush, how "being on time" is whiteness?
29:00 The concept of talking to people to convince them of your positions is not a Christian or a western idea...
30:09 Final thoughts / Conclusion

It's not totally off base but there are some loons out there who wrote or performed amazing music, and a bunch more who like it. Bad taste in music is more likely to line up with bad political views than good music taste and good political sense. There are a ton of really privileged people in the arts who just don't get the struggles of regular people, let alone poor or otherwise marginalized folks.

That doesn’t flow over to the rest of Asians in the rest of Asia like south/southeast-west/west Asians. You also fail to mention culturally they have a COMPLETE different situation from Latinos and black people here, many came from higher levels of society. NOT TO MENTION, an Asian doctor may make more on average because per capita, they go onto higher fields, BUT they also make less than Whites who also go into high education. @@brockcharz2104 You seem to be completely ignoring the principle that @Stevon White mentioned, that Asians who immigrate to the United States are by and large significantly wealthier than the average citizen of a given Asian country, giving these select few the ability to make the journey to the US successfully in the first place. Then their descendants ("Asians [sic] who were born here [in the U.S.A.]", including being "here for multiple generations") are raised in an environment with the resources, enabled by being born into wealthier families, to better enable economic and educational success over time (again, because their families can afford the tools to make that success easier which poorer people don't have as easy access to). The lower crime rates and higher collegiate attainment you mention tend to correlate quite strongly with generational wealth in general; there's no reason this wouldn't be the case for Asians as well as Caucasians. So, no, for the reasons above, Asian U.S. immigrants and their descendants are not accurate examples of Asian cultures and populations more generally.

I'm most likely misunderstanding the quote, when Mr. Kirk says that 'melanin is your master' under what context or implication is he using the terms master? Is it biological/ genetic, in that one can't control their nature as its an intrinsic characteristic? Sid he mean that its one of the most or most important socioeconomic factors that society uses to organize/ determine individuals/ groups? Mr. Kirk has not really elaborated much other than the more conventional talking points or vague rhetoric attacks, so the statement feels ambiguous imo.

@@TruthDissident uh not sure what that had to do with my comment but ill try address this. If you want to talk about power racial justice takes power away from the capitalist class including those in government because it means they have to pay people equally and often leads to more civil rights that gives power to the people and less to them. People who covet power for powers sake would do slavery if they could get away with it. equality is a litteral opposition to that greed of power and its why theres so much union busting and think tanks thay try to get people divided by race and class so that the majority can ignore the abuse and lower pay of minorities who go unseen. because they know they know that the people are stronger toghether than divided they'll do whatever they can to stop it from manifesting properly. Yknow the divide and conquer tactic of Julius caesar its something like that. Anyway politicians may pander just like corporations do about racial equalities and other justices just to keep in the good graces of the people in a democracy. but if you look at the unchanged laws and biased establishments they've neglected to change along with that empty virtue signalling it becomes obvious that its empty words none of those currently in complete power actually want racial justice. But religion on the other hand is a mind prison that can divide people tell them what to think uncritically get them to believe anything without evidence. Those obsessed with power cling onto whatever works but that doesn't mean what they're forced to use in their rhetoric is indicative of their actual beliefs or reflects on the ideologies they misuse as bad just because they used them to lie. Racial justice is a good thing being misused by right wing dems to hold onto power because people are getting smarter. Religion is a bad thing used by both main parties to abuse peoples trust and destroy critical thinking invented to keep kings of old in power and to this day hasn't truly been dropped. Equivocating these as just the same is very reductive and fails to understand the nuances of each.
@hgbguy
@hgbguy 3 жыл бұрын
@@TruthDissident the first two responses i was essentially saying that already. The conclusion of the other two is just confused. Like lets be clear you're here saying that racial equality is bad because the capitalist class like it. For one they pander they don't actually take meaningful actions to make it equal they just pay lip service. Secondly even if they did this equivocation is like saying because hitler drank water then water is therefore a bad thing. Or saying that because hitler disliked smoking doesn't mean we all need to start smoking to denounce fascism. this is childs thinking but thats essentially what you're doing when you say- "Why do you think they like it hmmm?" Capitalists will do whatever works its just greed plain and simple. Also you talk about racial justice AS IF it divides us for marketing. Under capitalism they'll market to whoever has money thats any group but thats got NOTHING to do with whether we have racial justice or not. The only reason they pander and pay lip service to it is because its often about their corporations underpaying minorities and they want to save as much face in the hopes people fall for it instead of asking for something that takes effort. Anyway you seem to have a traditionalist bent in your arguement so i wouldn't be surprised if thats your actual issue with racial justice. Also some imperialist nationalistic flag its just kinda sus. Also when responding you can summarise points to reffer to them you don't need to copy paste the whole thing.

26:55 as a white guy living and working in Asia, I've seen all the extremes of cultural views on punctuality. In Japan, everything is governed by the clock down to the literal second. Trains are perfectly timed and people literally time their watches to catch the train they need down to the second. In India, there's a joke about "IST" actually meaning "Indian Stretchable Time" rather than Indian Standard Time. It's just not a cultural norm to arrive "on time" to anything, whether it's a party or an appointment. Time is kind of "Stretchable" - stuff starts late, stuff ends late. It's just not an exact thing. Some of it has to do with unreliable transportation, but alot of is just a cultural thing where stuff just kind of happens in an inexact way. In the Philippines, particularly Manila, it's not so much cultural as it is practical - the transportation system and traffic is such an absolute nightmare that even though you do try your best to be "on time" everybody understands that it's impossible to do, and nobody really questions it if you're running late because they all live the same horrible transport experience.

I’m beginning to feel really sorry for Charlie. This debate is basically going to be like what would happen if you put kid goku from dragon ball against current adult goku from super with mastered ultra instinct stacked on top of super sayian super sayian god, and kaioken x20. Charlie will make a point, but before he is even able to finish the point all we will hear is just a zip across the screen, and his pupils go white, and then the after image of vaush’s rebuttal will finally appear for everyone to see. Everyone in the audience will be confused. But the trained debate bros will know what happened. They might not be able to debate at that power level, but they can still follow it with their eyes. Charlie’s advocates will look at each other and yell at Charlie to transform or use his ultimate attack, but his handlers will turn to them with their hands on their brows saying “he’s been using those techniques since the start”. Charlie will even try and use the real life version of potara ear rings and fuse with a smarter conservative, and the mods will allow it after vaush just motions with his hand to bring it. Vaush will release an argument so powerful that it destroys the metaphorical potaras. Then at the end of the debate when Charlie is trying his best not to show how utterly defeated he is, he will snap and try to destroy the planet, because if he can’t win no one will. This isn’t anything new though, because conservatives have been trying to destroy the planet and kill their voters for some time now. Now I want to watch dbz. Lol

They generally aim at two different things: 1. Empower individuals to demand EQUAL treatment when they are being discriminated against - something even conservatives can't argue against in principles. 2. To help *others* who are worse off in society in general.
