My mother was abandoned by her parents and put in orphanage and my dad ,his father left when he was a little boy and he had to quit school and work to help the family and they worked their ass off and in my teens we were middle class,get so sick of hearing that only “black” people have hard lives.we need to stop making excuses for people and the bad decisions that they make.

Yeah its like reality is some people can be given $1,000,000 and still retire with less than someone who started with nothing. I guess thats hard work and perseverance privilege lol

I paused at :43. Both of my siblings and I grew up in a mobile home community and went to ALL of the exact same schools as the black community, with our elementary and middle schools walking distance for a significant number of black kids. Both of my siblings and I got our first jobs at 15, bought our own first cars by 16( registered to our parents), paid all of our own vehicle expenses(insurance and maintenance), and then paid for our own college education. Our parents didn’t even cosign for our student loans. All three of us are very comfortable upper middle class now. There is no reason why the black community couldn’t have done the exact same thing in my hometown…none. A lack of effort is not proof of discrimination. Now, one of my black friends from school joined the Marines and is now a fairly high Ranking Officer in The United States Marine Corps. To the point that at our reunion just a couple years ago, even the guys who are no longer in the military came to attention and saluted him. I don’t remember his rank, but he’d did have a TON of medals hanging on his chest.

My father's parents came to America with nothing. My grandfather became a barber, opened his shop, bought a home and raised a son who went on to become a medical doctor, served in the Navy during WW II and raised five children, all graduated college, accumulated two doctoral degrees, three masters degrees, owned homes and raised families of their own. This idea that white Americans have been here for 9 or 10 generations is silliness. European immigrants left their homes where they were serfs, barely better than slavery. That's why they came here, worked hard and used their brains and backs.

I am white. My grandparents were poor and my father was the first college grad. So where is my generational wealth? My dad has not given me money. I am living on my own salary. Where is my generational wealth?

You have to realize that most of these students come from wealthy families you can tell because they take time to protest. Poor kids who MIGHT have to pay back their college tuition loans are worried about getting grades. I was a poor kid at a rich school EVERY wealthy families kids were whiny butt wipes like these kids.

To begin with, Mr. Kirk did not claim that generational wealth is assured. Instead, he stated that if you follow the three steps he outlined, you can avoid being poor across generations. Additionally, considering your ability to afford your own expenses and comparing it to your father's upbringing when your grandfather struggled financially, it suggests that you are now in a better position. This serves as evidence that adhering to Mr. Kirk's strategy can help prevent generational poverty. Consequently, having achieved financial stability, you are now able to provide a better life for your children
@juliebless7119

I don't understand what this "generational wealth" is either. Everyone I know has made their own way in the world. Who's getting this wealth from previous generations? You pay your dues, you work your way up. Life costs money, it's a real struggle to get ahead. My dad got very little from his parents (maybe a $2,000), I got enough from my parents to make a few home improvements to my 90 year old little house (maybe $15,000), my kids might get that much from me. I'd say the majority of Americans regardless of ethnicity are in the same circumstance. When you think minority, you shouldn't necessarily think underprivileged. Most Americans are lower middle class, we are just hanging on, some of us are better off, some worse off. If we're smart, we work hard, save up and buy something that improves our home or method of transportation when we can afford it.

I agree it would be very simple if Congress and the senate really wanted too fix the tax problems too switch to flat rate tax and cut out all deductions and everyone would pay their fair share as is the Democrat’s talking point but since 8 of the top 10 richest people in this country are registered Democrats they will never make them pay their share and they will keep lying and claiming that the rich Republicans running their business are the richest well Elon Musk and one other person are the only two people in the top ten who are Republicans but people like Zuckerberg and Basos and the other social media owners are Democrats and mor wealthy then Musk and the other Republican in the top ten

people have gone from being broke and homeless too millionaire and some of them more than once because they acted on an idea too solve a problem in society and took the chance and took on the debt required to take the chance at life changing possibilities so it does not matter what you start out with like Charlie said graduate from high school or a trade school don’t get pregnant or get someone pregnant until you are married and make good choices and take a risk and you can climb too the top of the ladder and even if you fall off and end up broke and homeless again you know how to do it honestly morally without stealing from anyone or making people who couldn’t afford to go to college pay your student loans that you chose to take and didn’t get a degree that will make you enough money to pay your bills

When i was born my family lived inner city and were very poor. Both parents worked jobs and scrapped to move the gamily to a community with a good school system. We all lived in a renovation and i learned construction at a youn age. I had paper routes an mowed lawns. When i graduated from highschool i worked about 100 hours a week at four part time jobs. At 50 I am now a millionaire without a college degree, there is no generational wealth and no white privilege .Pull up your bootstraps, success is achievable but it will not just be handed to you.

Also, depending on the study you look at, only 1.4% to, at the most, 25% of Americans owned slaves. Yet they never mention that fact when talking about race relations, white privilege or reparations. People act as if we were assigned slaves at birth. 🤦‍♀️

We need to forcibly shut down these universities. I have a four year degee from a half century ago and these universities were hot beds for communism even then. My degree kepr me from getting a job for six months because I decided to work outside my field. Back at that time the only way to gain a position in the state I lived in was through nepotism. You had to be juiced in. There were all kinds of offers for teaching positions 500 to 1,000 miles from my current address, but literally nothing from the area where my family and friends lived. Why do you suppose that might be?

I can debunk the propaganda easily because I am a Vietnamese refugee. The Vietnanese refugees came to the US starting in 1975 through the mid 80's. They were practically penniless and spoke no English. That was a starting point not comparable to any native born American family. Within 50 years, that's more than enough time for the Vietnamese community to become productive and generate wealth within the US economy.

I grew up in a white neighborhood which eventually turned mostly black in Queens, ( in the 1940's) NY.All the black people that moved in were intact families.....fathers and mothers in the home.One could tell time just watching when the dads (black and white) came home from work. We kids all played together, went to school together and went to church together......(catholic church).The black people lived in lovely homes and took pride in all they worked hard for just like the white people. Their children were well behaved or else, just like everyone else. Something happened from then till now.Can someone explain why such a high percentage of black babies are born out of wedlock ?why so many black people are incarcerated?It was not always like that.......not among the black people I grew up with.

Yes it would have an effect in the first 50 years following , but 250 years later … not so much. This flawed logic assumes that all white people come from generational wealth (they don’t , 92% do not ) Most current white people are children of immigrants that came long after , and most black people are not ancestors of slaves . Only 396,000 ever came , and of that only 119,000 had children not to mention less than 2% can trace their ancestry more than 3 generations so how can something that happened to someone you never heard of affect you?

Faith in the LORD, FAMILY and TRUE FRIENDS are the key of life. Walk in the way of the Lord. Do good for others who are drug addicts, homeless and the lost. Help them out of their darkness and show them the LIGHT that GOD has given each and every one of us. It's up to YOU to shine your light on others, as GOD has intended. Every one needs someone at some point in time. GOD is the first one they should seek, and accepting the love and light of people who care that talk the talk and walk the way of the LORD. I am a living testament that GOD is GREAT and that HE ALONE has brought me through some really rough times. It didn't work the way I thought it would, but GOD did it in just the right way. He keeps me humble, loving and caring. That is HIS WAY,, and it is BEAUTIFUL.

3:53 the fault in this kids argument is that the average American lost everything during the civil war. There were a very small number of people who profited tremendously, but the nation went into hyper-inflation, lost 1/4 of the male population and that’s why the populists pushed for suffrage and women were leading the populist movements of the 1890s, and women were getting educated at insanely high rates, race relations were improving black men were becoming respected educated professionals and academics and we were starting to extend the promise of the republic to all as we should have… but were smashed back down by national banking, mass immigration and then using mass immigration to divide the populists into socialists, anarchists, Italians, Irish, white trash, so on and so forth. Kirk doesn’t get this either. The people need to stop arguing over their superstitions about other average people and start looking at wall-street like Mary Elizabeth lease told us to
