But to used the word "like" seven or eight times in a 20-word sentence is verbal rambling and serves no purpose. It's equivalent to that silly phrase "you know." Both are meaningless and almost always used by people who have trouble expressing themselves. "Like... you know.... like... like... you know... like, uh, you know..." Drives me crazy to hear people express themselves in such a rambling, ignorant way.
