Every time Jesus mentioned the Kingdom of God He was making a political statement. But Christians shouldn't talk or pursue politics?!? LOL!

God is not democrat or republican. The problems of this world will not be solved by man! Man’s crowning achievement has been to build weapons capable of annihilating all life on Earth. “O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walks to direct his steps”(Jeremiah 10:23). “Thus says the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusts in man, that makes flesh his arm, and whose heart departs from the LORD”(Jeremiah 17:5).

We don't get into politics much at all, if at all in church. My pastor always prays for all governments but we do get into current events. Why would we? The Bible is FILLED with lessons for sermon. Amen!

As a believer in Jesus. I must be salt and light in my community. I must stand for righteousness. If someone is breaking into my home to rob , rape, or kill me or my neighbors home down the street. I need a law on the books to give me authority to demend myself and chirdren from harm. I am glad we have laws that we have police who will come to the rescue. We have laws that make it a crime for people to do theses things . We have judges courts and prosecutors who will put people who are found guilty in jail to protect me and my family and my neighbors. The people who make our laws are polititians. As a Christian an American I care where theses people stand on many issues that affect our families and neighbors wellbeing. It does matter what they believe in. Jesus told us to love our neighbor as ourselves. Knowing the difference between right and wrong , we as christians need to go to vote for people who ,stand for right over wrong for ourselves and for our neighbors. We have to bring light into darkness. We have to use our God given freedoms to vote to bring salt to our world. Vote for polititians who stand for rightetousness.

Moral issues have been turned into political issues. This should never have happened. Teach the full Gospel, teach from the Word. Equip your people to do the work of the ministry not to be spectators of entertainment.

The churches ability to positively influence the culture is not through elections but reflections. Reflections of Christ sent out into the world bearing the fruit of the Spirit. That was a part of my message just a couple of weeks ago. Some pastors, maybe some of those in this video, go way further than they should with how they view the churches posture toward politics. There are ways in which it furthers the divide between brothers and sisters in Christ because they've purposefully invited the political divide into their midst.

@@erica981 You mean "their interpretation of the Bible" is the foundation for where they stand on politics. There are others for whom the very same Bible provides a different application because of a different interpretive lens.
