He thinks people who want there to be a process with vetting and quotas are terrible people. When I learned limits on my personal life, I then applied that to my country. I don't understand how they can apply these things to their personal life but expect "pathological altruism" from their country. To me it seems logical. I'm the granddaughter of immigrants but my immigrant ancestors didn't have the luxury of sneaking across the border. My great-grandparents had to save money for years to come here--my great-grandfather came here a year before his wife and kids. He had to have a sponsor, he had to have a trade or skill to support his family, he had to be able to speak some English, had to be able to read and write in his own language, he had to have a clean bill of health, and he couldn't have a criminal record. He then had to apply for citizenship. The same applied to his wife and children. They all became U.S. citizens, which is more than what the majority of people coming here illegally do.

I’m from Guatemala, I can tell what happened in my country, tho it’s only one example because every country in the region had its own U.S involment. In 1954 the democratically elected president of Guatemala Jacobo Arbenz, challenged the monopolistic interests of the U.S United fruit company. This company owned Guatemala’s railroad, busiest port communication lines and 75% of arable land. Arbenz wanted to modernize Guatemala so he built a road which competed with the rail road, build a port and also its own telecommunications lines, the UFC saw that as a threat tho the biggest threat was when Arbenz, seized uncultivated land from the U.S based company and distributed to peseants and poor farmers. The U.S acused Arbenz of a communist, and created a plan to oust him. In June of 54 an CIA armed army invaded Guatemala from Honduras and U.S planes bombed the Capital. Arbenz resigned and 36 years of brutal military dictatorships followed, along with a bloody civil war that ended in 1996, and took lives of 300,000 Guatemalans. The U.S got its people in power, who serve the interests of themselves and not of Guatemalans. Since 1954 Guatemala has been ruled by a corrupt elite that only serves them selves. Today Guatemala does not have a dictatorship and the war is over, still every time a politician wants to run for power and looks to serve Guatemalan, interests and challenges the ruling elite most likely will apear dead, with the U.S blessing. In other words today Guatemala as well the majority of Latino countries are governed by a ruling elite that has destroyed our nations and sent millions of people to migrate to the north, tho still that elite is blessed and maintained in power by the U.S.

My family sponsored 3 Vietnamese people back when that was how it got done. They had to have people lined up, willing to house, feed and help them, BEFORE they got here. They HAD TO learn English, how our government and country work, and so on, and they learned it better than we did in school. They worked very hard to learn how to get along in America, getting jobs on their work permits while taking classes to learn all those things. One of them became a CPA. They did not come here illegally, take free stuff, work under the table,.... They followed the entire process through, and the day we watched them become Americans was a super proud day for all of us. They are family. But they did it legally, and then worked legally for everything they got. THAT is how it was designed to work. That is the right way to come here.

I feel bad for our 1st generation Hispanics. Our parents pushed the “blue no matter who” until I became an adult and had to educate my parents on real politics. What they thought real politics was, is this “Hilary comes to king taco in Los Angeles and eats a taco” that automatically makes her “one of us” and that was enough to keep voting Blue. No policy only pandering. What no one in our Hispanic circles talk about is the massive difference of turnout of life from a Hispanic that comes from a household from a migrant that did it right and earned their documentation, compared to a household where the parents did it incorrectly and were never able to earn their documents, those children suffer financially and in education. Mostly because mom and dad have to work two jobs and never be there to guide them. Stop feeding the democrat machine and encouraging others to come illegally and then end up becoming modern day slaves.
