I relived this magical time- as I was the fly on the wall as this was recorded in Bangalore along with these great artists and Dr Ragha, my brother on Veena-I was so thrilled. The book and pictures by Dorthee-stunning. Worth a ton of gold.

I did not know about this release. Clearly some inspiration from the ECM release "Jyothi", where Carlie Mariano plays the soprano saxophone. And I really think it was a great idea to switch from the alto saxophone. I have "Jyothi" on LP and really like it, it did make me look for more of this Mariano/KCP collaboration. "Jyothi" is now out of print on both LP and CD, and not available on KZbin.

Great album, some unique environments, one of a kind. Thankfully this appeared on my life recently. This somehow reminds me Ravi Shankar & André Previn - London Symphony Orchestra - Concerto For Sitar & Orchestra. It would be interesting that you all listen if you never had the chance to ear that album.

I agree, great one! And one of my favourites...Shankar & Previn did such a good album! True musicians can go everywhere. And their love and friendship made it work as you can hear easily! World Music has such an important role in jazz, rock and classic...sometimes it sounds so magic & mystic I would like to trip to India or where music is carrying me,sigh! Because of these albums I don't need to travel with airplanes and that is pure joy!😂🫂😝
