What? Really? I’ve never had or seen a flustered instructor. You went through some awfully shltty training. Sorry to hear that.
@sesh4ngi4 ай бұрын
I had this type of instructor when I was doing my driver’s licence. He was very calm, he wasn’t talking too much, I didn’t know if he’s not too talkative or he’s just very focused on my driving and the road, so I didn’t talk too much too. There was an awkward silence for most of the time and it was making me feel tense and a little bit stressed. But the funny thing was that even when he was really really mad at me he didn’t shout, he wasn’t even raising his voice, he was still very calm but he was cursing a looot. I had another instructor before him who was talking with me about various things non stop. I was feeling very freely and comfortable with him. We had the same hobbies, we both loved discussions about UFOs, aliens, ghosts and stuff. But in the end I failed my exam and after 2 years I decided to take couple lessons again, but with different instructor (the first one I was talking about). I passed my exam without any mistake! So I think it’s better to have someone calm and cool, even when you are a person who loves to talk and hates sitting in silence. It was really hard for me to sit with him everytime for 2 hours straight and to hear only his commands, but it kept me focused 100% on my driving and payed off at my exam. But gosh, that silence was so so awkward… Sometimes I even thought he just didn’t like me lol 😂

I drove for a large construction company but eventually switched positions. One day, they asked if I could hold a class after work to show all the newer cdl drivers how to back in since I was always pretty good at it. I have respect for you guys because, man, that was a stressful day for me 😂. Didn't lose my cool, but there were plenty of moments where I just had to sigh. I assumed since everyone just got their CDL, they would be somewhat proficient. I guess it's changed now.
@carrollalveyjr24194 ай бұрын
Got my CDL two months ago. I've worked on the trucks for 1t years. When I went to do my walk around in the class the teacher said she would do it first so we could see how it's done. I asked if I could do it first. Curious she gave me a shot. When I over killed the walk around she walked me to another instructor and said take him to drive. He doesn't need this part lol. Backing the trucks into garage bays for years I I knew I had the backing. Once they showed me how to shift the 18 speed . I was golden. They passed me in a week instead of 3. I wish I would have done it years ago.

Being a flight instructor is safer than being a car instructor, the trainees spend 100s if not 1000s of hours in simulations and follow a rigorous process before driving a plane. Not anyone can become a pilot, aside from the fact that is very expensive, so the chances of having a psycho drive a plane are very very low.
