Charlie Nicholas - Celtic Goals

(1979-83, 1990-95) • Some Celtic goals from Charlie Nicholas. The striker netted 127 times in 254 appearances for the Hoops, giving him an exact 1:2 ratio for goals per game at the club. In season 1982/83, Nicholas set a post-war record with 48 goals in 53 appearances (which stood until Henrik Larsson netted 53 in 2000/01). He also won trophies with Arsenal and Aberdeen, and ended his career with a one-year spell at Clyde.

Loved Charlie, he was my hero back in the 80's what a player, could score with any foot and the head against anyone, his goal agains Ajax in the European Cup will live long in the memory. 💚🍀

My idol in the 80s, remember him bursting on to the scene, fantastic player, had everything but knew it wouldn't be long till a (I wont say bigger) club with money came along.

Big childhood hero of mine from those virtually all-Scottish Celtic sides from the 80s. I can't praise the guy highly enough. Excellent dribbler and deadly finisher. One of the best ever players for Celtic & Scotland. True icon and legend. Thanks for the memories, Charlie!
