I like his theme statement on this tune where he plays in the lower register. It makes a nice contrast to the faster tempo tunes on the Roost broadcasts. Let’s hope there are still more Bird-at-the-Roost recordings waiting to be unearthed.

I play this one in G concert. In Db concert it's quite low for the alto.
