Charlie put his spin on this. Masterfully. Makes me love RL’s version and this one back and forth, profoundly.

I really appreciate your music Mr Parr . I love the work you did Recording at 89.3 The Current. I talk to Sean McPherson from the current every weekend on Radio free current . I really appreciate your songs and talented guitar playing . Your Song Dog makes me miss my old Dog Jake he was a loyal friend and Great black lab that I lost this summer and had to send him to the other side . He's waiting for me at the Bridge with the rest of my pals . Thanks Roger W The FARMER from Grantsburg Wisconsin

Such a great performance, certainly proper homage to R.L. Burnside as Charlie is so genuine and skillful.

Anyone got a tab for this? I can capture the melody just fine and the rolls on the high notes are clear, but I can't for the life of me figure out what his other fingers are doing in the open G

NO disrespect yo RL Burnside, but it isn't his song. Rights are to Reverend Robert Wilkins. There are four verses to the original song...RL butchered it by only doing 2.
