Charley Pride is the embodiment of never being afraid to be what you are. It’s great being country and pride celebrates this throughout his discography.

Rest In Power to Charley Pride (1938-2020), and thanks for the many, many memories. You will be sadly missed and never forgotten, Sir.

Those reporters really were nervous interviewing this man. I dunno why? They always put that label on him, about being black and singing country music. Charley Pride is an American institution, plain and simple. The man’s got pure talent and is a great singer. Period!

If you are going to post your interviews about an artist at least learn how to spell their name. Country Charley Pride has been his name for over 84 years.
