Thanks very much for posting, feeling sad about Charlie. I kidded him a few years ago about his crazy funny lyrics. He was enjoying time on his boat with his kids and wife, after he couldn’t sing anymore. Charlie started with Bandera and blazed his way across Texas and beyond. Love and miss ya Charlie, you red dirt true blue troubadour.

This performance is so damn good. It's nice that Charlie was able to get back to performing before he passed. Those in the audience are so lucky to have been there. I only saw him once 20 years ago. I feel for his family. From a tribute video posted on KZbin, he spent time fishing and being a father and husband. Rest easy Charlie.

We had a chance to see him at Del Norte in Godley but they were charging a lot for it. It was his comeback though and thought we would catch him in a few months later. I'm so mad at myself for not seeing him after all the years of hoping for him to get his voice back. Now he's gone. Heart broken. My husband took me to see him at Billy Bob's for his live album. This just isn't right. Now it makes me cry. What a punch to the gut.

A lot of the news articles say he retired earlier before his comeback so it's a gem to find these videos he made afterwards. RIP.
