Charlie Sheen opens up about the breakdown that was front and center in the public eye. "Winning" "Tigers Blood" and what was really going on in his life at that point. With long-term sobriety and a new way of life, Charlie opens up about the first time he tried a substance at the age of 10.
Charlie shares what it was like growing up the son of a famous actor, Martin Sheen as well as the sibling of Emilio Estévez. When did his loved ones first intervene to help Charlie understand that he had a problem? Stories of partying or working with Rob Lowe, George Clooney, John Cryer, Nicolas Cage, Micheal Dougless, Laura Dern and others.
We talk about the steps towards sobriety, his relationship with his father now as well as stories from the set of some of his films and Two and A Half Men. How did he feel about being replaced by Ashton Kutcher and what are his career aspirations? This is Charlie Sheen in his own words on Knockin’ Doorz Down.

After him getting HIV plus the meltdown and the constant partying he did. Studios now have seen him as non bankable and not worth taking the risk. Also the sexual assault allegations on him doesn’t help his case either. Hollywood blacklisted him for a reason, his time there is over.

WANT them to do a remake with CHARLIE in his Dad's role: APOCALYPSE NOW. Sure, Charlies a little older than Martin was. When CHOSEN for this important role. And by the greatest writing-production team EVER - a colossal, staggering success. Watching it now gives me CHILLS. Robert Duvall. Brando. Harrison Ford - who kills from moment one (on screen).

HELL YES BROTHER. Keep it up. I won't say "you got this", because as addicts we most certainly don't "got this" but that's NOT to say we can't do it. You CAN do it and will, if you really REALLY want to. I was completely strung out on heroin AND meth at the same time for 7 years. Homeless for 5 of them. Hitting 4years clean on may 9th. I have a warm soft place to live and sleep. I've got my family and friends back. I've got a good job, making decent money. I've got a checking account with money in it. I've got a savings account which is slowly but surely growing. I never have to suffer due to drugs again, if I so choose. Same goes for you my friend. You never have to suffer again, if you don't want to. 4 months is amazing progress, keep it going bro, KEEP IT GOING.

I met Charlie five years ago in New York. I have always loved his work, he had always provided a laugh-track for my own sometimes-messy life, and I just thought he seemed like a cool guy. I was so glad when I met him and got a brief glimpse into how much of a cool, humble, generous guy he can be. Meeting him, if only for a few short minutes, was such a bright memory for me. Stay good, and stay strong, Charlie. I look forward to seeing more great work from you, and I know there's another iconic role for you out there that's going to make everyone smile...

I saw Charlie at the State Theater in Ohio. He came out in major league attire and began passing out his hat, sunglasses, and then his jersey. He handed his jersey to me in the second row. I’m sure he doesn’t remember me but I’ll never forget the moment. I love you Charlie and I’m so glad to see you doing well. 💕

Shaming and pleasing is difficult enough, but adding another element to it, like, drinking or drug use intensifies that. At the end of the day, if we don't believe our own worth and value that, we're having to deal with it. I haven't played that game in a long time. I won't. I have to get up and work with me, not with them, so just be yourself, make your mistakes, learn about those mistakes, move forward and go easy on others who are struggling with their own shame. Be patient with them and lead by example! Bless, Charlie.
