This song was an instant favorite, to me, it's what made Nas the great he is, he's a master at telling nostalgic stories that even though that may not be your particular experience, he can make you relate by connecting his stories to yours. Having said that, I think the song could have been better if Charlie was allowed to flex on it a little more, just humming adlibs under Nas doesn't respect the greatness of Charlie Wilson, they should have let that beat just play and let Charlie sing the hell out of it at the end and in the choruses. And much love and respect to Charlie Wilson, this man is black excellence, black history, his voice is near and dear to our hearts....we love you Charlie Wilson and we love you Nas.
